The center member is seated in the outer shell above a cup-shaped cushion, and comprises a means capable of attaching the self-adjustable furniture guide to an article of furniture attached to a top surface of the center member. The center member is capable of vertical movement within the outer shell and the vertical movement of the center member in the outer shell compresses the cup-shaped cushion.

The height of the counter can be determined according to the height of the wheelchair and the user. Also, the pipes connected to the faucet of the counter can be all hidden in the wall so there is no obstacle in front of the user when the wheelchair is moved into the space. Since the wheels are disposed underneath the cabinet, the cabinet can be easily moved back to its original position underneath the counter, even for the wheelchaired user.
