A quick-exit assembly for reclining furniture, including motorized versions, is provided. An exemplary quick-exit assembly may include a linkage assembly configured to move between a first position and a second position. A drive mechanism may be coupled to the linkage assembly, and may be configured to move the linkage assembly between the first position and the second position using an actuator, and also, allow movement of the linkage assembly between the first position and the second position using manual force with reduced restriction from the drive mechanism.

RECLINING ARMCHAIR WITH LIFTING SEAT AND EXTENDING FOOTREST

An armchair comprising a seat chassis supported on a support chassis by a pair of support columns, a chair back structure pivotally attached to a rear end of the seat chassis and to the support chassis, and a leg support structure pivotally attached to a front end of the seat chassis and connected to a beam, wherein the beam is attached the chair back structure. A first actuating device is mounted to the chair back, where a protracting end of the first actuating device is connected to the seat chassis. The armchair further comprises a second actuating device mounted to the support chassis, a footrest connected to a protracting end of the second actuating device, a third actuating device attached to the seat chassis, and a seating structure connected to a protracting end of the third actuating device and mounted above the seat chassis, wherein the seating structure includes an operative position projecting upwards and forwards by the third actuating device at a tilting angle from the seat chassis.

Lift chair and seat

A lift chair includes a lift mechanism that maintains a continuous seating position during forward and elevated movement by supporting the occupant's seat, arms and back. The mobile section of the chair will also lower the occupant to the normal seating height. The gel cushion seating surface is attached at least to the moveable section of the lift chair. The gel cushion seating surface of the chair has a plurality of gel cushion cylinders arranged in a grid that provide a rhythmically changing support area at multiple points on the occupant's buttocks and thighs. This provides a comforting massage which reduces stress on the body associated with prolonged seating.

Powered chairs for public venues, assemblies for use in powered chairs, and components for use in assemblies for use in powered chairs

Powered recliner chairs, assemblies for use in the chairs, and components for use in the assemblies are provided. Electrical systems for use in the chairs, and components for use in the assemblies are provided. Control systems and methods for operating powered recliner chairs are also provided. Any given chair may be locally and/or remotely controlled.

LEG REST APPARATUS
20170318971 · 2017-11-09 ·

A leg rest apparatus is provided. A leg rest panel is configured to be adjusted between a deployed position and a stored position. The apparatus includes a lift link that articulates a rear end and a front end rotatably coupled to the seat and the leg rest panel, respectively. A link base with a rear end fixed to the seat is separated from the lift link and a front end is disposed toward a front side of the seat. A front guide link with a front end and a rear end is rotatably connected to a first coupling portion of the leg rest panel and the link base, respectively. A rear guide link with a length less than the front guide link and a front end and a rear end rotatably connected to a second coupling portion separated from the first coupling portion and the link base, respectively.

Footrest device for armchairs or sofas
09808090 · 2017-11-07 · ·

A footrest device for armchairs or sofas has two footrest panels, which have substantially the same width, and are movable under the thrust of a crank mechanism between an extracted operating position, in which the two footrest panels project from the front of a support frame, and a retracted rest position, in which the two footrest panels substantially overlap one another.

Surgeon support system
11207152 · 2021-12-28 ·

A surgeon support system comprising a base having a foot platform with an appropriate angle adapted to support a user's feet. The base surface may be lifted using a jack pedal and the height is adjusted by a base handle. A knee pad is supported by a knee support bar which is attached to the base. The knee pad is pivotally connected to a seat pad and a chest pad support bar. The seat pad is supported by a seat pad height-adjusting strut and the height is adjustable by a seat pad height-adjusting handle. The chest pad support bar supports a chest pad for forward and backward movement of the user. The angle position of the chest pad is adjusted and released by an angle-adjusting knob on a chest pad angle-adjusting bar. The surgeon support system stabilizes a user close to a workspace for extended periods of time.

Seating furniture having dual-motor wall-away function

Seating furniture includes at least a first and a second linear actuator to adjust the seat part, the foot part, and the back part between the seating and the reclining position. The first linear actuator generates a linear stroke causing the back part to be adjusted relative to the seat part. The second linear actuator generates a linear stroke having at least a first and second partial stroke, The first partial stroke causes, during adjustment of the seating furniture from the seating position into the reclining position, the seat part to slide relative to the frame towards the front, and simultaneously the inclination of the seat part to be adjusted, there being no extension or retraction of the foot part relative to the seat part during this first partial stroke of the second linear actuator. The second linear actuator causes the foot part to extend relative to the seat part by a second partial stroke following the first partial stroke.

Collapsible and portable chair with independently movable leg rest

A collapsible and portable reclining chair includes a leg assembly, a seat assembly defining a seat support and a back support, and an independently movable leg rest support. Such a chair can be folded and unfolded between a set-up condition of the chair for use, and a collapsed and folded condition of the chair for transport and/or storage. In use, the seat assembly can be shifted between an upright position and a reclined position where the back support angularly pivots backwards. In use, the leg rest support can be pivotally shifted from a lowered position to an upright position relative to the seating assembly—operating similar to a conventional LA-Z-BOY recliner using a handle disposed on a side of the chair frame that is moved by the user to effectuate movement of the leg rest support independent of any reclining adjustment of the seat assembly.

Footrest driving apparatus and lift chair therewith

A footrest driving apparatus includes a seat frame (2), a footrest member (4), a driving mechanism (3) and a footrest linkage mechanism (5) connected to the seat frame (2), the driving mechanism (3) and the footrest member (4). The seat frame (2) has two mounting boards (21), and each mounting board (21) has a curved guide slot (22). The driving mechanism (3) has two driving arms (32). Each driving arm (32) has a guide rod (33) matching with a corresponding curved guide slot (22), and a pin (34) rotatably connected with the corresponding mounting board (21). The guide rod (33) of each driving arm (32) correspondingly moves between a first position and a second position in the curved guide slot, allowing the driving mechanism (3) to drive the footrest linkage mechanism (5) to move the footrest member (4) between a stowed position and a reclined position.
