BEAUTY PILLOW
Disclosed is a pillow for supporting a head and neck of a reclining body on a mattress where the pillow has a pillow length, a pillow width and a pillow thickness. The pillow includes a core extending with the thickness along the pillow length and the pillow width with cavities in the core, includes a core cover and includes fastening means extending into and fastening the cover at the cavity locations to form wells for supporting the head and neck with comfortable musculoskeletal position, alignment and pressure.
ORTHOPEDIC PILLOW WITH INTERCHANGEABLE CERVICAL SUPPORT
Improved configurable therapeutic pillows and various components thereof are provided. The pillows are comfortable for sleeping, relieve stress, and facilitate better sleep by supporting the head and cervical areas with distinct, configurable, and appropriately sized cervical support and head support sections provided in sizes that fit into typically sized bedding and linen covers for protection and longevity.
THERAPEUTIC PILLOW
A therapeutic pillow includes a soft central section which received the back of one's head and pair of bolster segments for restraining the head from turning to either side. Underlying the central section is a dense buttress. The lateral ends of the buttress project upwardly and comprise a stiffening outer portion of each bolster. Both the central section and the buttress have a generally “U” shaped transverse cross section such that central section nests within the buttress when the composite pillow is assembled. A convex gradient neck extends forwardly from the central section and transitions to a convex cervical lordosis support at the central section. The buttress includes a central spherical cap depression. A portion of the central section occupies the depression to provide increased comfort for the occipital protuberance at the back of one's head.
Anti-snoring pillow
The invention is a pillow that positions the neck enabling the sleeper to keep his airways open and get a good night's rest without snoring. The invention is a rectangular block of foam with a center cavity for an individual's head. The pillow is contoured to allow the lordotic curve of the cervical spine to be maintained and ensures that the upper portion of the thoracic spine is properly supported. Over the neck a foam bridge is formed to hold the jaw firmly in place whether a person lays on his back or sides. The bridge keeps the mandible from opening during sleep prohibiting mouth-breathing and snoring. Both the pillow and the bridge are made of flexible foam that is flexible enough to allow the neck to pass through the opening in the bridge. The bridge is position to keep the mouth closed and the airway open ensuring no snoring.
ADJUSTABLE CUSHION DEVICE
This disclosure relates to a cushion and more particularly to a pillow providing cervical alignment by way of a cervical spine support structure that is positioned along a major axis of the pillow, and that can be rotated around the major axis. The pillow utilizes one or more of the following features: 1) a dimensionally correct platform for the proper sleep posture of a majority of body types on a wide array of mattress types; 2) A non-crush zone integrated cervical support roll which can be adjusted for extended durations of supportive comfort. (The roll—in and of itself—is unique compared to the standard of care because of its foam densities and its semi-hollowed out section); and 3) A sleep posture platform with a side sleeping position and a back-sleeping position. The pillow standardizes care by placement of the support roll inside a dimensionally correct platform using different materials.
Head support sleep aid
A plurality of interlocking stackable foam pillow segments together with a head and neck support and an elongated generally cylindrical resilient neck support member. The pillow segments are generally rectangular defining interlocking members which facilitate the stacking and interlock of the pillow segments in a vertical stack. The head and neck support defines a pillow resting surface and a head resting surface. The head resting surface further defines an ear clearance cavity surrounded by a face support surface. The head and neck support further includes a flexible mesh fabric ear coupling having an outer edge joined to and surrounding the face support surface and encircling the ear-receiving cavity. The ear-receiving cavity is sized to receive the user's ear into the ear coupling and is elastically constricted to close upon the user's ear between the ear and head surface to captivate the ear.
Foam with green tea additive for foam mattresses, pillows and cushions
A method of making foam imparts antimicrobial and antiodorant qualities to the foam. Green tea powder is added to the polyol raw materials for making memory foam. The green tea memory foam is used to make pillows, cushions and mattresses. Green tea foam in the top layer of a mattress acts as an antiodorant such that less of the chemical smell of the memory foam is perceived by the user. In addition, the bacteria and mold that would otherwise develop in the moist warmer sleeping environment on memory foam are killed by the green tea additive to the foam. Measurable antimicrobial and antiodorant qualities in the green tea foam are achievable by adding green tea powder constituting less than 2% of the weight of the resulting green tea foam. A neck-support contour pillow is made using memory foam that contains green tea and a green dye.
DUAL DENSITY MOLDED FOAM PILLOW
A pillow includes an inferior portion and an outer portion. The interior portion is comprised of a first flexible foam, while the outer portion is comprised of a second flexible foam having a density different than that of the first flexible foam. Methods of producing a pillow are also provided whereby either a first foam precursor is dispensed into a central portion of a mold to provided a first flexible foam, or a pre-formed foam insert comprised of a first flexible foam is placed into a central portion of a mold. A second foam precursor is then subsequently dispensed into a peripheral portion of the mold to produce a second flexible foam having a density different than that of the first flexible foam. Upon reaction and expansion of the foam precursors, a molded foam pillow is produced having dual densities.
HEADREST ADJUSTING DEVICE AND METHOD
An adjustable pillow device and a pillow adjusting method are disclosed, the adjustable pillow device comprising: a headrest body (1), the height of a region thereof being self-adjustable according to the posture of a sleeper; an inflation/deflation mechanism (2) connected to the headrest body (1) for adjusting the height of a region of the headrest body (1); a sensor (3) for collecting information about the sleeper and providing feedback; a central information processor (4) connected to the sensor (3) and the control end of the inflation/deflation mechanism (2) respectively for receiving information from the sensor (3) and sending an adjustment direction to the control end of the inflation/deflation mechanism (2) according to the sleeping posture information and the body data figure of the sleeper. The adjustable pillow device and method ensure that a sleeper has the most natural and physiologic sleeping posture, and enable automatic adjustment of the head and neck of the sleeper in different sleeping postures to allow the head to be in a proper position relative to the neck, thus providing the sleeper with deeper and longer sleep, improving sleep quality, and meeting the needs of the public.
Therapeutic pillow
The present invention provides devices for neck support and correction, for example, pillows, headrests, or cushions, designed to be placed under the head and neck of a person lying in a supine or side-lying position. Such devices are useful for maintaining or improving cervical and/or thoracic spinal curvature and/or alignment and for reducing pain associated with ailments of the neck or cervical vertebrae. Also provided are methods of improving cervical spinal alignment and for treating or ameliorating ailments of the neck or cervical vertebrae.
