11330957 · 2022-05-17 · ·

A dishwasher and a control method thereof are disclosed. The dishwasher includes a tub accommodating an object to be washed, a spray arm rotatably provided inside the tub to spray wash water toward the object to be washed, a sump for storing wash water and collecting wash water sprayed into the tub therein, a filter separably mounted to the sump to remove foreign substances from wash water, a wash pump for supplying wash water stored in the sump to the spray arm, and a circulation passage for diverting at least a portion of the wash water supplied to the spray arm by the wash pump to the sump. After the dishes are washed, all of the wash water introduced into the wash pump is diverted into the filter. Foreign substances present in the wash water are collected in the filter and are discharged outside along with the wash water.

RECIRCULATING CHEMICAL-SANITIZING WASHING MACHINE

A method for operating a recirculating chemical-sanitizing dishwasher includes filling a wash tank of the dishwasher with water, and performing a first cycle of washing by circulating the water through a wash chamber of the dishwasher. A partial drain is performed of a first amount of water from the wash tank, and new water (for example, rinse water) is added to the wash tank for a second amount of water approximately equal to the first amount. A second cycle of washing is performed by circulating the water through the wash chamber of the dishwasher.

A dishwashing machine is used for pre-rinse operation of soiled dishes. A cavity is configured and arranged to contain the soiled dishes. A nozzle is proximate the cavity and is in fluid communication with the cavity. An accumulator pan accumulates wash and rinse water including cleaning chemicals used in a previous cycle of the dishwashing machine. A fluid passageway interconnects the nozzle and the accumulator pan. A pump directs the accumulated wash and rinse water from the accumulator pan to the nozzle via the fluid passageway for pre-rinse operation of the soiled dishes in the cavity, and the nozzle directs the accumulated wash and rinse water into the cavity with the soiled dishes to assist in removing soil from the soiled dishes prior to a wash cycle of the dishwashing machine. The wash cycle utilizes fresh wash water.

Dishwasher with high-velocity sprayer

A dishwasher for treating dishes according to a cycle of operation, the dishwasher comprising a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, a dish rack received within the treating chamber and configured for receiving dishes for treatment during the cycle of operation, a sprayer located within the treating chamber and above the dish rack, and emitting a second liquid at a second speed, greater than the first speed, downwardly onto the dish rack to form a high-speed spray.

Automatic washing machine and method

The invention relates to a method of automatic dishwashing of dishware using wash water, in which, in a first step, a first composition, which comprises an oxygen bleach but substantially no enzyme, is supplied to the wash water, and the dishware is washed in a washing zone with the oxygen bleach-containing wash water; and, in a second step which occurs after the first step, a second composition, which comprises an enzyme but substantially no bleach, is supplied to the wash water, and the dishware is washed in said washing zone with the enzyme-containing wash water. The invention also relates to an automatic dishwasher and a cartridge suitable for use in this method.

Dishwasher including rack corner sprayers

A dishwasher utilizes multiple rack-mounted corner sprayers disposed in corners defined between a side wall and front and rear walls of a dishwasher rack to direct fluid inwardly from the corners to wash utensils supported by the rack. The corner sprayers are in fluid communication with one another by a fluid channel that extends along the side wall of the rack, and an inlet port coupled to the first corner sprayer conveys fluid to each of the corner sprayers.

METHOD OF DISHWASHING COMPRISING DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS SUBSTANTIALLY FREE OF POLYCARBOXYLIC ACID POLYMERS
20210062117 · 2021-03-04 ·

Methods of dishwashing to remove soils are disclosed, including a first detergent wash step, wherein the detergent is substantially-free of water conditioning agents including polycarboxylic acid polymers and phosphonates, followed by a second step of rinsing under high temperature with a water conditioning agent, namely polycarboxylic acid polymers. The methods result in little to no precipitation forming on the treated ware due to the treating of the hard water before it contacts the alkalinity source which prevents precipitation and/or flocculation from occurring.

Dish washing machine

A dish washing machine including a cabinet having a frame defining a periphery of the dish washing machine, with the cabinet having a top, a front, a rear and a pair of sides. A dish washing area is located within the cabinet and includes a nozzle for spraying a liquid onto dishes in the dish washing area. The front of the cabinet has a door for allowing access into the dish washing area. A top wash basin is on the top of the cabinet, with the top wash basin including a spout for water and a sink for accepting liquid therein. The cabinet also can include a rinse detergent tank and a wash detergent tank, wherein a rinse detergent can be added to the rinse detergent tank and a wash detergent can be added to the wash detergent tank while the wash washing machine is activated.
