A dishwasher includes a tub with an access opening to a treating chamber, a sump, at least one sprayer emitting liquid into the treating chamber, a pump, a conduit fluidly coupling the sump to the pump and the pump to the at least one sprayer, thereby defining a recirculation circuit through which the liquid sprayed into the treating chamber collects in the sump and is pumped back to the at least one sprayer. The dishwasher also includes a filter assembly in the sump for filtering the liquid in the recirculation circuit including a cleaning element and a dome shaped displacement body positioned adjacent the filter wall for raising a liquid level within the filter and configured to fill more than 50% of a percentage of a volume of the filter.

An auxiliary gray water supply device captures used wash water from a commercial warewashing machine for supply to a pre-rinse station without substantial modification of the commercial warewashing machine. The captured wash water and treatment agent are delivered to a pre-rinse station for pre-rinsing of dishes that will be washed within the commercial warewashing machine.

A filtering device and a tableware washing apparatus, the filtering device includes a rotary filter and a drive assembly. The rotary filter includes a columnar filtering screen configured to filter water from a washing process of the tableware washing apparatus; wherein a diameter of an external circle defined by each mesh of the columnar filtering screen is between 0.2 to 0.5 mm. The drive assembly is connected to the rotary filter and configured to drive the columnar filtering screen to rotate relative to contents within the columnar filtering screen at a relative speed of 100 to 1000 r/min, for separating at least a portion of residue on the columnar filtering screen from the columnar filtering screen.

A liquid filtering system for a dishwasher, having a housing defining a filter chamber and configured to be fluidly coupled to a recirculation flow path of the dishwasher, a filter located within the filter chamber and having a first end axially spaced from a second end and defining a filter there between that has a first surface and a second surface, the filter being positioned within the recirculation flow path to filter soils from liquid flowing through the recirculation flow path as the liquid passes through the filter and a flow diverter to aid in cleaning the filter.

A food waste collector system has a tank, a pump that recirculates water by pumping it from the tank through a spout that discharges into the top of the tank, and an overhead sprayer. The overhead sprayer has a nozzle fluidly coupled by a fresh water valve to a fresh water passage of a water line and by a recirculating water valve to a recirculating water passage of the water line. The overhead sprayer also has a valve handle disposed at the nozzle and coupled to the fresh water valve and the recirculating water valve.

A washing machine such as a dishwashing machine, preferably of the drawer-style or table-top style, or a laundry washing machine, the washing machine having at least one low-height wash liquid conduit connecting the outlet of a sump region of a washing tub to a wash pump. A cover plate is provided for covering a section of the washing tub base and the at least one low-height conduit is formed between the base of the washing tub and the cover plate by a combination thereof. The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher equipped with an automatic cleaning filter including a tub 12 provided with a washing space 12a that accommodates cooking vessels, a sump 100 disposed under the washing space 12a and configured to store a washing liquid, an automatic cleaning filter 200 disposed in the sump 100, and a washing pump 150 connected to the sump 100 and configured to re-circulate a washing liquid. The automatic cleaning filter 200 includes a rotating filter 210, an inlet guide 220, a filter housing 230, and a driver 270. The rotating filter 210 includes a plurality of first holes 213 and a lateral surface portion 212 surrounding a predetermined vacant space. The inlet guide 220 includes a first outlet 224 which discharges the washing liquid including foreign substances into the rotating filer 210.

A fluid circulation system for dishwasher appliances includes a sump and a pump. The fluid circulation system further includes a filter at least partially disposed within a chamber of the sump and surrounding an impeller of the pump. The fluid circulation system includes a diverter. The fluid circulation system further includes a cleaning manifold disposed proximate an outer surface of a sidewall of the filter, the manifold defining a plurality of apertures for flowing fluid towards the outer surface of the sidewall of the filter.

A dishwasher with a tub at least partially defining a washing chamber, a liquid spraying system, a liquid recirculation system defining a recirculation flow path, and a liquid filtering system. The liquid filtering system includes a rotating filter disposed in the recirculation flow path to filter the liquid and a flow diverter wherein liquid passing through a gap between the flow diverter and the rotating filter applies a greater shear force on the surface than liquid in an absence of the flow diverter.
