VACUUM CLEANER ATTACHMENT HAVING A CONCAVE VACUUM HEAD WITH A SWIVEL JOINT THAT SWIVELS ONLY WITHIN A CENTRAL PLANE OF THE VACUUM HEAD
20170215669 · 2017-08-03 ·

A vacuum cleaner attachment is disclosed having a concave vacuum head with a swivel joint that permits swiveling of the vacuum head only within the plane of the vacuum head. The concave vacuum head can have a curvature that is similar to the curvature of a cylindrical surface to be vacuumed. Thus, while a user manipulates the conduit providing the air suction to the vacuum head, the concave surface can be supported and swiveled around the circumference of the cylindrical surface to be vacuumed, while the vacuum head is also moved along the length of the cylindrical surface. Throughout this movement of the concave vacuum head, the concave opening of the concave vacuum head can stay in closer proximity and conformity to the cylindrical surface than is possible using a fixed vacuum head with a flat opening, thereby making cleaning of the cylindrical surface more effective and efficient.

An apparatus for cleaning mops comprising a top plate adapted to be engaged upon and spaced apart from a floor surface so as to form a cavity therebetween, an open face formed along an edge between the top plate and the floor surface and a plurality of protrusions extending from the top plate in a direction toward the floor surface, spaced apart along the open face, and a conduit extending between a proximate and a distal end, the proximate end extending through the top plate so as to place an interior of the conduit in fluid connection with the cavity, the distal end having a connector operable to be engaged in fluidic communication with an in-wall vacuum outlet. A method for cleaning a mop comprising passing a mop across a floor surface in proximity to an opening formed between a top plate and the floor surface, the top plate engaged upon the floor surface around a periphery thereof forming a cavity between the top plate and the floor surface, with the opening along an edge thereof into the cavity, agitating at least one element of the mop against at least one protrusion extending from the top plate into the opening; and drawing air and contents of the cavity through a conduit into an outlet of an in-wall wall vacuum system.

Vacuum Attachment for Picking Up an Object
20170258283 · 2017-09-14 ·

Provided is a vacuum attachment for picking up an object. The vacuum attachment in embodiments comprises a hollow body with open ends including an intake end as well as a vacuum-side end. The vacuum-side end is sized and configured to removably attach to an intake port of a vacuum source. A channel is formed within the hollow body and extends along a longitudinal axis of the hollow body from the vacuum-side end to the intake end. A filter is disposed within the channel, transverse to the longitudinal axis of the hollow body, and adjacent to, but offset from, the intake end of the hollow body so as to form a lip surrounding the filter. The filter is fixedly attached to an inner surface of the hollow body. In some embodiments, the filter is configured to pass solid particulates but to block objects larger than solid particulates.

Fan Blade Cleaning Assembly
