A processing system includes a processor with hardware. The processor is configured to perform processing of acquiring a detection target image captured by an endoscope apparatus, controlling the endoscope apparatus based on control information, detecting a region of interest included in the detection target image based on the detection target image for calculating estimated probability information representing a probability of the detected region of interest, identifying the control information for improving the estimated probability information related to the region of interest within the detection target image based on the detection target image, and controlling the endoscope apparatus based on the identified control information.

Method for monitoring an orthodontic treatment

A method for monitoring the positioning of the teeth including production of a three-dimensional digital initial reference model of the arches of the patient and, for each tooth, definition, from the initial reference model, of a three-dimensional digital reference tooth model; acquisition of updated image of at least one two-dimensional image of the arches in actual acquisition conditions; analysis of each updated image and production, for each updated image, of an updated map; optionally, determination, for each updated image, of rough virtual acquisition conditions approximating the actual acquisition conditions; searching, for each updated image, for a final reference model corresponding to the positioning of the teeth during the acquisition of the updated image, for each tooth model, comparison of the positionings of the tooth model in the initial reference model and in the reference model obtained at the end of the preceding steps to determine the movement of the teeth.

Image processing apparatus, operating method of image processing apparatus, and computer-readable recording medium

An image processing apparatus includes a processor including hardware, the processor being configured to: estimate, based on image information from a medical device that includes at least an endoscope, a plurality of procedure actions of an operator of the endoscope; perform different supports respectively for procedures by the operator, according to an estimation result of the procedure actions; and output a display for the supports to a display.

Systems and methods for displaying estimated location of instrument

Provided are systems and methods for displaying an estimated location of an instrument. In one aspect, the method includes determining a first location of the instrument based on first location data generated by a set of one or more location sensors for the instrument, the first location data corresponding to a first time period, and after the first time period, receiving a user command to move the instrument during a second time period. The method also includes estimating a second location of the instrument based on the first location and the received user command, the estimated second location corresponding to the second time period, and confirming the estimated second location based on second location data generated by the set of location sensors. The method further includes causing the estimated second location to be displayed prior to the confirmation of the estimated second location.

Capsule endoscope for determining lesion area and receiving device

Provided is a capsule endoscope. The capsule endoscope includes: an imaging device configured to perform imaging on a digestive tract in vivo to generate an image; an artificial neural network configured to determine whether there is a lesion area in the image; and a transmitter configured to transmit the image based on a determination result of the artificial neural network.

COMPUTER ASSISTED SURGERY SYSTEM, SURGICAL CONTROL APPARATUS AND SURGICAL CONTROL METHOD

A computer assisted surgery system comprising: a computerised surgical apparatus; and a control apparatus; wherein the control apparatus comprises circuitry configured to: receive information indicating a first region of a surgical scene from which information is obtained by the computerised surgical apparatus to make a decision; receive information indicating a second region of the surgical scene from which information is obtained by a medical professional to make a decision; determine if there is a discrepancy between the first and second regions of the surgical scene; and if there is a discrepancy between the first and second regions of the surgical scene: perform a predetermined process based on the discrepancy.

MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM, METHOD OF OPERATING MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
20230027950 · 2023-01-26 · ·

A processor device includes an image signal acquisition unit, a display control unit, and a region-of-interest detection mode image processing unit. The image signal acquisition unit acquires an image signal from an endoscope. The region-of-interest detection mode image processing unit detects a region-of-interest from the endoscopic image. The display control unit superimposes a highlight display of the region-of-interest on the endoscopic image and displays the endoscopic image on which the highlight display is superimposed. The processor device determines a visibility of the highlight display from image information of the endoscopic image and the highlight display, and notifies a user of a determination result.

MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM

An endoscope system sequentially acquires a plurality of endoscopic images by continuously imaging an observation target. A recognition processing unit detects, from the acquired endoscopic images, regions including a lesion portion as regions-of-interest. A recognition result correction unit corrects a position of the region-of-interest of the specific image by using a position of the region-of-interest of a previous image acquired before the specific image and a position of the region-of-interest of a subsequent image acquired after the specific image.

MEDICAL ILLUMINATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME

A medical system that includes a shaft having a distal end configured to be positioned at a target site, a first light and a second light positioned at the distal end, and a computing device communicatively coupled to the first and second light. The computing device includes a processor and non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to determine a first illumination measurement of a first region of the target site by the first light and a second illumination measurement of a second region of the target site by the second light. The second region is different than the first region. The processor adjusts emittance from the first light, in response to the first illumination measurement being different than a first threshold, and emittance from the second light in response to the second illumination measurement being different than a second threshold.
