This disclosure relates to surgical devices and methods. The disclosed surgical device and method may be used to resect, cut or otherwise remove tissue during an orthopaedic procedure. The surgical device may be reconfigured to reduce a size of the surgical device during placement in the patient.

SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS AND METHODS OF USE

The present disclosure describes surgical instruments for orthopedic surgery, the instruments including a variety of components including one or more of a first and second arm, a first and second side member, a first and second link member, a first and second jaw member, and/or a guide assembly.

Patient-specific guides for latarjet procedure

Patient-specific guides for the Latarjet procedure, as well as surgical systems and methods of performing the Latarjet procedure to treat glenohumeral instability using such patient-specific guides are disclosed. A patient-specific coracoid guide and a patient-specific glenoid guide may be configured based on preoperatively generated three-dimensional models of the patient's shoulder anatomy. Guides may be configured for coracoid graft preparation and glenoid decortication. The coracoid graft may be placed in the desired position based on three-dimensional (3D) preoperative planning.

Transosseous guide and method

Instruments and methods for surgical transosseous attachment to a bone include a guide able to guide the formation of intersecting bone tunnels and a passer able to pass a member through the bone tunnels.

Systems and methods for surgical implant guidance and positioning with optical surface imaging

Described here are systems and methods for positioning a surgical implant, such as a glenoid component, or other medical device intra-operatively. In general, the systems and methods described in the present disclosure implement a computer vision system, which may be a structured light computer vision system, together with a suitable optical tracker as an accurate intra-operative tool for predicting post-operative implant position in surgical procedures.

UNIVERSAL SHOULDER PROSTHESIS SYSTEM AND TOOLS
20230096120 · 2023-03-30 ·

A modular shoulder prosthesis system, in at least one embodiment, provides flexibility in shoulder replacements and ability to switch between a traditional anatomic Total Shoulder Replacement (ta-TSR) to a reverse Total Shoulder Replacement (r-TSR). Optionally, the system provides for a modular adaptation for the glenoid side in a TSR. The system includes a baseplate, a modular component, a humeral base and a modular humeral component. The baseplate includes a base with at least two attachment points extending in from opposed outer circumferential sides of the base. The modular component and the modular humeral component configured to cooperate with each other. The baseplate and the humeral base, or alternatively a second baseplate, are capable of attachment to different modular components to facilitate both ta-TSR and r-TSR with a change in the attached modular component.

ORTHOPAEDIC PLANNING SYSTEMS, INSTRUMENTATION AND METHODS OF REPAIR

This disclosure relates to planning systems, methods and instrumentation. The planning systems, methods and instrumentation disclosed herein may be utilized for planning orthopaedic procedures to restore functionality to a joint, may include determining an amount of bone loss along or otherwise adjacent to an articular surface of a bone. Instrumentation may be formed based on one or more dimensions associated with the bone loss. The articular surface may be repaired, which may include utilizing the instrumentation and planning systems to position and secure a bone graft along a position of the bone associated with the bone loss.
