FECALITH REMOVAL SYSTEM
Disclosed herein is a fecalith treatment system for the removal of an impacted fecalith from a formed diverticula. The fecalith treatment system having an endoscopic device having a steerable line configured to be introduced into a patient via the endoscopic device; and an articulable fecalith treatment device coupled to a distal end of a treatment conduit that is configured to be received therein the steerable line to be delivered to an operative position within the patient. Subsequently, the fecalith treatment device is configured to allow for the removal of the impacted fecalith without damaging the underlying diverticula tissue.
Fecal impact remover tool and method of using thereof
A tool for removing fecal impaction in a patient includes a housing having a front portion, a main body, and a rear portion. The front portion is configured for at least a partial insertion into the patient. The housing includes an internal repository and an inner duct extending from the rear portion to the front portion. The tool further includes a screw trocar having a front end and a rear end, the screw trocar can be rotatably and removably inserted into the housing to extend along the inner duct of the housing, and a suppository trocar having a front end and a rear end, the suppository trocar can be removably inserted into the housing to extend along the inner duct of the housing. The housing is configured to receive one of the screw or suppository trocars at a time to effectuate removal of fecal impaction in the patient.
Systems and methods for cleaning body cavities
This application presents methods and devices for continuously cleaning a colon by at least partially filling a segment of the colon with liquid and agitating the fluid to dislodge matter adhering to the colon walls. Methods for automatic maintenance of liquid levels in the colon during continuous cleaning are taught.
Fecal collection device, system and method
A fecal collection device includes a barrel with a waste drain conduit attached thereto. A drain opening is defined between passages of the barrel and the waste drain conduit. An irrigation conduit is connected to a source of lavage liquid. A trocar plug has a tapered distal end and moves between insertion, irrigation and flushing positions within the barrel passage. When in the insertion position, the tapered distal end of the trocar plug extends from the distal end of the barrel. When in the irrigation position, the irrigation conduit may provide lavage liquid to the barrel passage while the trocar plug covers a majority of the drain opening. When in a flushing position, the trocar plug covers less of the drain opening than when the trocar plug is in the irrigation position.
Indwelling evacuator for feces
An indwelling evacuator for feces, a stranding cage is disposed in a cylindrical main body, and a soft shaft is connected to the rear end of the stranding cage. Petaloid movable blades are hingedly connected to the front end of the cylindrical main body, and are in the shape of a bud when the petaloid movable blades are closed. A blocking ring is disposed on the outer wall of the cylindrical main body. A sliding ring member is disposed in the cylindrical main body to push the movable blades open to form an open space in the shape of a flower. The rear portion of the cylindrical main body is downward connected to a feces discharge hose. In use, the bud portion in the front end is inserted into the anus, and the blocking ring limits the insertion depth.

Fecal impaction removal device
A fecal impaction removal device includes an elongated shaft extending along a central longitudinal axis. A dilation body is secured at a distal end of the elongated shaft for insertion into a rectum of a patient. The dilation body has a maximum radial extension in a direction orthogonal to the central longitudinal axis. The fecal impaction removal device includes a stop member that extends from a central region of the elongated shaft. The stop member has a length along a major axis that is greater than the maximum radial extension of the dilation body.
Irising drainage device and irising rectal catheter
An irising drainage device is disclosed, including an irising collection funnel having a plurality of overlapping petals extending from an annulus defining a central aperture and a conduit extending from the annulus away from the irising collection funnel. The conduit includes a lumen in fluid communication with the central aperture. An irising rectal catheter is disclosed, including an irising collection funnel having a plurality of overlapping elastically deformable petals extending from an annulus defining a central aperture and an elastomeric tube extending from the central aperture away from the irising collection funnel. The elastomeric tube includes a lumen in fluid communication with the central aperture. The irising collection funnel is configured to elastically narrow in response to a radially inward pressure and expand with reduction of the radially inward pressure. The plurality of elastically deformable overlapping petals, the annulus, and the elastomeric tube are integrally formed with one another.
METHOD FOR TREATING CONDITIONS OF THE GI TRACT USING A VIBRATING INGESTIBLE CAPSULE
A method for treating conditions of the gastrointestinal tract of a subject using a vibrating ingestible capsule ingested by the subject and activated in a targeted zone of the gastrointestinal tract of the subject. The conditions may include a sensation of gastric bloating, a sensation of straining during defecating, diarrhea and/or gastroparesis. The method is further suitable for reducing Bristol stool scores of fecal matter of the subject and for increasing a Bristol stool score of fecal matter of the subject.
