The present invention aims to provide a basket catheter that easily transmits rotational torque on a proximal side to a basket part and can remove a captured foreign matter. The basket catheter (1) has a distal side and a proximal side, has an outer tubular member (2), an inner tubular member (3) disposed in a lumen of the outer tubular member (2) and an expandable basket part (10) disposed on the distal side of the inner tubular member (3) and including elastic wires (15). The inner tubular member (3) includes a hollow coil body (4) formed of a wire wound spirally. In the above basket catheter (1), the elastic wires (15) and the inner tubular member (3) are preferably connected together through a tubular connector (20).

Provided herein are methods and systems for the removal of anatomical occlusions, and an occlusion removal device comprising a first body adapted to be mounted to a delivery wire and releasably engaged to the delivery wire, wherein while engaged the first body remains fixed on the delivery wire and upon release moves axially along the delivery wire, and a second body adapted to be mounted to the delivery wire. A first proximal body may be oriented proximally to a second distal body. The proximal body and the distal body may be adapted to expand upon exiting a delivery catheter. The proximal body may be releasably engaged by a mechanically breakable connection or an electrolytically or heat disconnectable connection, the electrolytically disconnectable connection being broken upon an application of electric current to the electrolytically disconnectable connection.

Stent system

A stent system according to the present invention is for use in retrieving a blood clot from the brain region and includes a wire; a first stent connected to a distal portion of the wire; a first outer sheath that covers and is fixed to a portion of the wire proximal to the first stent; and a second stent disposed on a portion of the wire proximal to the first stent, in which the second stent is configured to be movable toward or away from the first stent.

CLOT REMOVAL METHODS AND DEVICES WITH MULTIPLE INDEPENDENTLY CONTROLLABLE ELEMENTS

A clot removal device for removal of an occlusion from a lumen in a patient's body is provided. The clot removal device has a lumen, an elongated member positioned within the lumen and extending axially from a proximal end to a distal end of the lumen, a handle attached to the proximal end of the lumen, a first expandable member positioned along a length of the elongated member, a second expandable member positioned along the length of the elongated member, wherein the second expandable member is distal to the first expandable member relative to the handle. The handle has at least one actuation mechanism and at least one of the following applies: a) the first expandable member is coupled to the at least one actuation mechanism and is configured to be moveable relative to the second expandable member upon manipulation of the at least one actuation mechanism; b) the first expandable member is configured to mechanically expand or contract by manipulating the at least one actuation mechanism; c) the second expandable member is coupled to the at least one actuation mechanism and is configured to be moveable relative to the first expandable member upon manipulation of the at least one actuation mechanism; or d) the second expandable member is configured to mechanically expand or contract by manipulating the at least one actuation mechanism.

CLOT RETRIEVER AND THROMBECTOMY DEVICE FOR MASSIVE CLOT REMOVING FROM VASCULAR SYSTEM WITH ADJUSTABLE DEVICE ORIFICE AND RETRIEVE LENGTH

The invention relates to a clot retrieval and thrombectomy device with adjustable orifice diameter and retrieval length to retrieve embolism from the vascular system, especially pulmonary arteries and venous system, which allows restoring the blood flow to pulmonary vasculature and relieve right heart strain and re-perfusion in occluded veins or arteries with organized thrombus formation. The main objective of the invention is to provide a device that can be used in different vessel dimensions, different types of vessels and situations. The present invention has an adjustable device orifice and retrieval length to overcome the limitations in retrieval of the clots in different vessel dimensions. According to the clot length and volume, the orifice of the braided mesh basket can be adjusted to the vessel diameter. Therefore, the device can be used in every type of vessel having different diameters and in every patient having different conditions.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENTRAPPING AND/ OR REMOVING CLOTS TO PROVIDE BLOOD FLOW RESTORATION IN A VESSEL

A system used to entrap clots in arteries, such as cerebral arteries, between the artery wall and an external surface of a stent to provide restoration of blood flow therethrough that includes a stent forming an annular wall that defines a set of openings, and an expansion member extendable through the stent to place a distal portion thereof distal to the stent. The stent is advanced into a clot disposed within a vessel and transitioned to an expanded configuration such that the annular wall engages the clot. The expansion member extends through the stent and is transitioned to an expanded state such that a diameter of the distal portion is greater than a diameter of a proximal portion thereof. The expanded distal portion is sized to fill a portion of the vessel to prevent clot fragments from flowing distal to the expansion member.

ENDOVASCULAR DEVICES AND METHODS FOR EXPLOITING INTRAMURAL SPACE

The present disclosure is directed to a device. The device may include a distal shaft defining a central lumen and an orienting element comprising at least one inflatable member. Wherein a first portion of the orienting element extending from the shaft in a first direction and a second portion of the orienting element extending from the shaft in a second direction. Further, wherein the second direction is substantially opposite the first direction.
