SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES, AND METHODS FOR PRE-ABLATION PULSES IN PULSED FIELD ABLATION APPLICATIONS
Systems, devices, and methods for electroporation ablation therapy are disclosed, with the system including a signal generator for generating pre-ablation signals and pulse waveforms for medical ablation therapy that may be coupled to an ablation device including at least one electrode for ablation pulse delivery to tissue. The signal generator may generate and delivery pre-ablation signals to subsets of electrodes of the ablation device and measure currents associated with the delivery to determine whether the currents meet one or more predetermined criteria. The signal generator may also generate and deliver voltage pulses to the ablation device in the form of a pulse waveform after determining that the currents meet the one or more predetermined criteria.
Method for detecting presence of tubing in pump assembly
Methods for detecting tubing in a pump assembly of a pump system are provided. For example, a method comprises connecting a power supply to each of a plurality of pump motors of the pump system. Each pump motor of the plurality of pump motors has a power supply cable configured to connect to the power supply and drives a pump head of a plurality of pump heads of the pump system. The method also comprises sensing a motor current from each of the power supply cables, determining whether tubing is loaded in each pump head, and, if tubing is not loaded in a pump head, then disconnecting from the power supply the power supply cable of the pump motor associated with the pump head in which tubing is not loaded. Systems for detecting the presence of tubing within a pump head of a plurality of pump heads also are provided.
Radio frequency ablation systems
The present invention relates to systems for use for radio frequency ablation. The systems can include one or more of an ablation tool, power source for use with the ablation tool and a backstop for use in conjunction with the ablation tool during surgical procedures. Preferred ablation tools comprise a series of three or more blade-shaped electrodes disposed in a linear, curved, curvilinear or circular array. The backstops are useful for reducing direct physical and thermal heat transfer injuries to the patient or surgeon during procedures using radiofrequency (RF) ablation devices.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A SINGLE SPIRAL ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY FORMING A SPHERICAL BASKET FOR IMPROVED TISSUE CONTACT AND CURRENT DELIVERY
The disclosed technology includes a medical probe including a tubular shaft having a proximal end and a distal end. The tubular shaft can extend along a longitudinal axis. The medical probe can include an expandable basket assembly proximate the distal end of the tubular shaft. The expandable basket assembly can include a single spine comprising a resilient material extending generally linearly along the longitudinal axis in a collapsed form and forming a spiral member defining a generally spherical outer periphery in an expanded form. One or more electrodes can be coupled to the single spine. Each electrode can include a lumen offset with respect to a centroid of the electrode so that the single spine extends through the lumen of each of the one or more electrodes.

A current sensor includes a current sense coil disposed about a conductive lead, the current sense coil configured to sense a current passing through the conductive lead. The current sense coil includes: a first outer coil configured to detect a first magnetic field generated by the current; a second outer coil configured to detect the first magnetic field, the second outer coil further configured to cancel an electrical field induced in the first outer coil; and an inner conductor disposed between the first outer coil and the second outer coil, the inner conductor configured to detect a second magnetic field generated by the current.
Method of robotic hub communication, detection, and control
Various surgical systems are disclosed. A surgical system can include a surgical robot and a surgical hub. The surgical robot can include a control unit in signal communication with a control console and a robotic tool. The surgical hub can include a display. The surgical hub can be in signal communication with the control unit. A facility can include a plurality of surgical hubs that communicate data from the surgical robots to a primary server. To alleviate bandwidth competition among the surgical hubs, the surgical hubs can include prioritization protocols for collecting, storing, and/or communicating data to the primary server.

Methods for controlling temperature in ultrasonic device
A generator, ultrasonic device, and method for controlling a temperature of an ultrasonic blade are disclosed. A control circuit coupled to a memory determines an actual resonant frequency of an ultrasonic electromechanical system comprising an ultrasonic transducer coupled to an ultrasonic blade by an ultrasonic waveguide. The actual resonant frequency is correlated to an actual temperature of the ultrasonic blade. The control circuit retrieves from the memory a reference resonant frequency of the ultrasonic electromechanical system. The reference resonant frequency is correlated to a reference temperature of the ultrasonic blade. The control circuit then infers the temperature of the ultrasonic blade based on the difference between the actual resonant frequency and the reference resonant frequency. The control circuit controls the temperature of the ultrasonic blade based on the inferred temperature.
