MOTION-SENSING FLOOR MAT, MOTION-SENSING FLOOR MAT ASSEMBLY, AND MONITORING SYSTEM WITH THE SAME FLOOR MATS
A motion-sensing floor mat, an assembly of such floor mats, and a monitoring system with such floor mats are provided; wherein the floor mat can be joined with another such floor mat and electrically connected to a monitoring device to form the monitoring system; the monitoring device stores a queue list and a topology matrix and uses a topological algorithm to store the identification tag of each such floor mat detected into the queue list in order, to gradually establish the topology matrix for the floor mats detected; and to thereby obtain the relative positions of the floor mats detected. When any of the floor mats is subjected to pressure (e.g., when someone falls on the floor mat accidentally) and generates a sensing signal, the monitoring device can pinpoint the position of that floor mat (i.e., the location of the fall) rapidly according to the topology matrix.
Systems And Methods For Managing A Person's Position Based On A Personal Health Factor
A monitoring system and method tracks a patient's position over time and ensures that proper turning or other manipulation is done within the time prescribed. Preferably, the techniques herein continuously monitor patient position and alert medical or other personnel of the need for turning or other patient manipulation. The system may be implemented within a medical or other care facility, or within a patient's home.
Oximetry Device with Laparoscopic Extension
A laparoscopic medical device includes an oximeter sensor at its tip, which allows the making of oxygen saturation measurements laparoscopically. The device can be a unitary design, wherein a laparoscopic element includes electronics for the oximeter sensor at a distal end (e.g., opposite the tip). The device can be a multiple piece design (e.g., two-piece design), where some electronics is in a separate housing from the laparoscopic element, and the pieces (or portions) are removably connected together. The laparoscopic element can be removed and disposed of; so, the electronics can be reused multiple times with replacement laparoscopic elements. The electronics can include a processing unit for control, computation, or display, or any combination of these. However, in an implementation, the electronics can connect wirelessly to other electronics (e.g., another processing unit) for further control, computation, or display, or any combination of these.
SENSOR APPLICATOR ASSEMBLY FOR CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a sensor applicator assembly for a continuous glucose monitoring system and provides a sensor applicator assembly for a continuous glucose monitoring system, which is manufactured with a sensor module assembled inside an applicator, thereby minimizing additional work by a user for attaching the sensor module to the body and allowing the sensor module to be attached to the body simply by operating the applicator, and thus can be used more conveniently. A battery is built in the sensor module and a separate transmitter is connected to the sensor module so as to receive power supply from the sensor module and be continuously used semi-permanently, thereby making the assembly economical. The sensor module and the applicator are used as disposables, thereby allowing accurate and safe use and convenient maintenance.
SLEEVE PART AND MEASURING DEVICE
The two inflatable sleeve cushions (10) which can be arranged in the receiving tubes (9) are each connected by means of a connection (11) at the interface between sleeve part (2) and base part (3) to the pressure generation and pressure control system in the base part (3). A valve device is preferably provided on the connection (11). The channels (19) that connect the respective connection (11) to the respective sleeve cushion (20) are formed in the main body (21) of the receiving body, said main body being produced from plastic by means of injection moulding, and are covered towards the outside by means of a cover (20). The connections (11) are disposed one behind the other in the direction parallel to the axial direction of the receiving tubes (9). From there, each channel (19) is first guided upwards, then diagonally to the side, and finally downwards to the fluid access opening (22) of the respective sleeve cushion (10).
LUNG TESTING DEVICE
A device for determining measurement values describing the function of the lungs or the respiratory system of a patient includes a mouthpiece including a tube for introducing respiratory air and for sucking in air, and a gas measurement space. At least one of the following gas sensors is arranged in the gas measurement space: nitrogen monoxide sensor, carbon dioxide sensor, oxygen sensor, carbon monoxide sensor, multi-gas sensor, sensor for volatile organic compounds, alkane sensor, infrared sensor, fiber optic sensor, resistance sensor, and semiconductor sensor. The gas measurement chamber is separated by a closable opening into a first gas measurement chamber and a second gas measurement chamber, the second gas measurement chamber being closed or closable. The closable opening opens a flow path from the first gas measurement chamber into the second gas measurement chamber. A gas sensor is arranged in the second gas measurement chamber.
WCD SYSTEM AND MANAGEMENT METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a WCD system, including a collection module, a master control module and a defibrillation module; the collection module collects a signal, and has human body motion detection and vibration prompting functions; the master control module has a VF/VT analysis algorithm to analyze the collected signal, and can control a power supply of the defibrillation module; the defibrillation module has the VF/VT analysis algorithm and a defibrillation control function. Through the independent defibrillation module and the independent collection module, the reliability of the system can be improved.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY MONITORING SYSTEM
A wearable device for monitoring physical activity of a user, the wearable device being reversibly attachable to a chest strap and an arm strap. The wearable device comprises an ECG sensor arranged to collect ECG measurements of the user only when the wearable device is attached to the user's chest by the chest strap, and a PPG sensor arranged to collect PPG measurements of the user when the wearable device is attached to the user's arm or wrist by the arm strap. The wearable device also comprises control circuitry arranged to switch the wearable device between an ECG only mode and a PPG only mode. In the ECG only mode, the control circuitry is configured to control the ECG sensor to collect ECG measurements but prevent the PPG sensor from initiating PPG measurements. In the PPG only mode, the control circuitry is configured to control the PPG sensor to initiate PPG measurements but prevent the ECG sensor from collecting ECG measurements.
A MODULAR MOUTHPIECE
A mouthpiece is disclosed through which a user inhales and exhales when providing an exhaled breath sample. The mouthpiece includes a mouth-engaging element about which a user places their mouth when using the mouthpiece and also a housing having a housing wall. The housing wall defines a first aperture through the housing wall, the first aperture being linked by a conduit defining a first fluid flow path to the mouth-engaging element. Interposed therebetween is a first directional valve, allowing air into the mouthpiece from atmosphere. A second conduit is provided, defining a second fluid flow path from the mouth-engaging element, and directing exhaled air out of a second aperture of the mouthpiece. The second conduit houses a second directional valve housed within the second fluid flow path.
