Blood pressure measurement

A wearable device includes a processor and a lower module. The lower module includes a pressure sensor for detecting a mechanical movement of a skin that covers an artery. The mechanical movement of the skin is due to blood flow through the artery. The processor is configured to receive skin movement information from the movement sensor; calculate a pulse front velocity (PFV), which is a velocity of a blood wave as the blood wave passes under the pressure sensor; estimate a pulse wave velocity (PWV) using the PFV; and estimate the blood pressure using the PWV.

The present invention is directed to a device for measuring muscular fatigue through obtaining a signal generated by repetitive motions of a human body. The present invention features a system for measuring movements of one or more muscles of a body of a user in order to track muscular fatigue. The system may comprise an object. The system may further comprise a motion sensor configured to measure signals in response to a stimulation and transmit said signal to a computing device. The stimulation may comprise an action carried out repetitively over an interval of time. The motion sensor is configured to measure a progressive reduction in a signal over the repetitive motions and disposed relative to the one or more muscles of the body of the user. The computing device may be capable of measuring muscular fatigue by measuring parameters of the received signals and generating a muscular fatigue signal.

Systems, methods, and devices relating to a sensor array for use with a user's finger segment and which indirectly maps the topography of a surface under the finger segment. Each sensor array is worn on a user's finger segment and has multiple sensitive strain gauges as well a positioning sensor. The multiple strain gauges are deployed around the periphery or sides of the finger segment. Each strain gauge measures the deformation of the finger segment pad as the finger segment passes over the surface topography. The relative ratios of the deformation detected indicates the location of a feature or contact point on the topography relative to the group of strain gauges. The positioning sensor determines the array's orientation as well as its location relative to a predetermined global reference frame.
