GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE TEMPLATE FOR REDUCING SETUP TIME OF ELECTROPHYSIOLOGICAL PROCEDURES
20230042941 · 2023-02-09 ·

A method includes, inserting a catheter into a cavity of a patient organ for performing a medical procedure, the cavity is of a given cavity type. A partial anatomical mapping of the cavity is performed by visiting one or more anatomical points on a surface of the cavity, using the catheter. Based on the partial anatomical mapping, a Graphical User Interface (GUI) template is selected, which is specified for applying the medical procedure to the given cavity type. The selected GUI template is presented to a user for performing the medical procedure in the cavity.

ARCHITECTURE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR MODELING, VIEWING, AND PERFORMING A MEDICAL PROCEDURE OR ACTIVITY IN A COMPUTER MODEL, LIVE, AND COMBINATIONS THEREOF

Medical software tools platforms utilize a surgical display to provide access to specific medical software tools, such as medically-oriented applications or widgets, that can assist surgeons or surgical team in performing various procedures. In particular, an endoscopic camera may register the momentary rise in the optical signature reflected from a tissue surface and in turn transmit it to a medical image processing system which can also receive patient heart rate data and display relevant anomalies. Changes in various spectral components and the speed at which they change in relation to a source of stimulus (heartbeat, breathing, light source modulation, etc.) may indicate the arrival of blood, contrast agents or oxygen absorption. Combinations of these may indicate various states of differing disease or margins of tumors, and so forth. Also, changes in temperatures, physical dimensions, pressures, photoacoustic pressures and the rate of change may indicate tissue anomalies in comparison to historic values.

Prosthetic capsular devices, systems, and methods

Prosthetic capsular devices (e.g., bag, bowl, housing, structure, cage, frame) include technology devices such as a computer, virtual reality device, display device, WiFi/internet access device, image receiving device, biometric sensor device, game device, image viewers or senders, GPSs, e-mail devices, combinations thereof, and/or the like. The technology devices can be used in combination with an intraocular lens. The output from the technology device(s) can be fed to the retina of the user to provide a visual image, can be otherwise connected to the user, and/or can be used to control the properties of the intraocular lens or of the prosthetic capsular device. Wearable technology that provides biometric data, such as blood glucose levels, body temperature, electrolyte balance, heart rate, EKG, EEG, intraocular pressure, sensing ciliary muscle contraction for accommodation stimulus, dynamic pupil change and retinal prostheses, combinations thereof, and the like can assist in technology-assisted health care functions.

System and Method for Revision Hip Surgery
20230010852 · 2023-01-12 ·

A system and method for identifying and digitally displaying a femoral implant during hip revision surgery to guide a surgeon in detaching the femoral implant from the femur. Some embodiments include digitally registering a portion of the exposed femoral implant to create a representative point set. The system then digitally overlays a medical image of the implant and/or a 3-dimensional model of the femoral implant. Some embodiments further include a surgical tracking system configured to track a surgical cutting tool. Moreover, the system visually illustrates the cutting path of the surgical tool to convey to the surgeon where the surgeon has already cut and where the surgeon needs to cut in order to fully detach the femoral implant from the bone.

Systems and methods for imaging communication and control

A telesurgical mentoring platform with a wheeled base, a lower rack mounted on the base, an upper rack extending vertically from the lower rack, a compactly foldable articulated arm that is configured to extend horizontally outward away from the upper rack and configured to connect to a connector piece holding an end effectuator at its distal end, a tablet personal computer; the console configured to be readily mobilized on the floor of an existing operating room and is capable of providing a connectivity point for communication, audiovisual, and data transfer services in an operating room.

Surgical instrument with real time navigation assistance

Navigation assistance systems and methods for use with a surgical instrument to assist in navigation of a surgical instrument during an operation. The system may include sensors that may observe the patient to generate positioning data regarding the relative position of the surgical instrument and the patient. The system may retrieve imaging data regarding the patient and correlate the imaging data to the positioning data. In turn, the position of the surgical instrument relative to the imaging data may be provided and used to generate navigation date (e.g., position, orientation, trajectory, or the like) regarding the surgical instrument.

Medical continuum robot extraction and methods thereof

The subject disclosure is directed to an articulated medical device having a sensor for detecting outside movements applied upon the medical device while in a subject or patient, wherein the device is capable of maneuvering within the subject or patient while taking the outsides movements into consideration.

ACTIVATION OF ENERGY DEVICES

Various systems and methods for controlling the activation of energy surgical instruments are disclosed. An advance energy surgical instrument, such an electrosurgical instrument or an ultrasonic surgical instrument, can include one or more sensor assemblies for detecting the state or position of the end effector, arm, or other components of the surgical instrument. A control circuit can be configured to control the activation of the surgical instrument according to the state or position of the components of the surgical instrument.

Mixed-reality surgical system with physical markers for registration of virtual models

An example method includes obtaining, a virtual model of a portion of an anatomy of a patient obtained from a virtual surgical plan for an orthopedic joint repair surgical procedure to attach a prosthetic to the anatomy; identifying, based on data obtained by one or more sensors, positions of one or more physical markers positioned relative to the anatomy of the patient; and registering, based on the identified positions, the virtual model of the portion of the anatomy with a corresponding observed portion of the anatomy.
