Head tracking frame for dental navigation
Systems and methods of tracking a head of a patient are provided. The system includes a motion tracking system and a head tracker. The head tracker includes a frame, at least one trackable target coupled to the frame, at least one nose pad coupled to the frame, and a pair of adjustable ear coupling members coupled to the frame and shaped for engaging with at least a portion of a back surface of an ear of the patient. The head tracker is configured to apply a clamping force to hold the trackable target in a stable spatial relationship with a location of interest in the head. The motion tracking system includes a sensor for tracking the trackable target and a processor configured for determining a position of the location of interest from the position and orientation of the trackable target and the stable spatial relationship.
Using a hearable to generate a user health indicator
A hearable comprises at least one microphone coupled with a wearable structure and a sensor processing unit disposed within the wearable structure and coupled with the microphone. A portion of the wearable structure is configured to be disposed within a user's ear. The sensor processing unit acquires audio data from the at least one microphone and head motion data from at least one motion sensor of the sensor processing unit. The head motion data describes motions of the user's head and comprises cranium motion data and mandible motion data. The sensor processing unit separates the mandible motion data from the head motion data, synchronizes the mandible motion data and the audio data into a synchronized data stream; classifies an activity of the head during a portion of the synchronized data stream; and generates a health indicator for the user based on the activity and the synchronized data stream.
Eating monitoring method, program, and eating monitoring device
The present invention provides an eating monitoring method for judging whether chewing is performed or not by a chewing judgment algorithm on the basis of a temporal variation in a measured value of a sensor unit configured to detect a movement of a jaw while a person takes a meal, the person wearing a detection device comprising the sensor unit. The method includes the steps of: adjusting the chewing judgment algorithm on the basis of a variation in a measured value of the sensor unit, the variation corresponding to a chewing action or a mouth opening/closing action of the person wearing the detection device; and judging whether chewing is performed or not by the chewing judgment algorithm which has been adjusted, and measuring the number of chews on the basis of a temporal variation in a measured value of the sensor unit during the meal.
Method and system for analyzing neural and muscle activity in a subject's head for the detection of mastication
The present invention relates to a method and system for calculating eating bites of a user. The method comprises: (a) continuously measuring the electrical properties data of mastication of a user for a predetermined period of time; (b) periodically determining single eating bites according to the data obtained in step (a) through a time interval; (c) periodically storing the bites determined throughout the predetermined period of time, through a time interval.
Oral scanner
The present invention discloses an oral scanner, including an outer casing, a reflector, a heat source, an optical module and a forced convection element. The outer casing has a cavity. The reflector is located at the front end of the cavity. The heat source is located in the outer casing. The optical module is located in the casing. A heat channel is formed between the optical module and the outer casing. The forced convection element is disposed in the heat channel and configured to forcedly dissipate the waste heat of the heat source to the cavity to heat the reflector. Thus, the temperature of the heat source can be reduced, and vapor will not be generated on the reflector heated by the waste heat.
DENTAL ARCH WIDTH MEASUREMENT TOOL
Systems and methods for rapidly and reliably determining an arch with of a patient's dental arch. A patient's dentition may be scanned and/or segmented. Arch width may be determined between points of intersection on the occlusal surface and a long axis of each tooth between one or more of: canine, first bicuspid, first primary molar, second bicuspid, second primary molar, and permanent first molar. Arch widths of different modified versions of the patient's dentition may be dynamically compared the patient's starting dentition, or to each other, and may be dynamically updated as the user modifies or switches between one or more 3D models of the patient's dentition.
SYSTEMS FOR MEASURING PATIENT PHYSIOLOGIC PARAMETERS
Provided herein is a sensor assembly including a printed circuit board including a top surface, a bottom surface and one or more sensing elements for measuring a physiologic parameter of a patient, the one or more sensing elements disposed on the top surface. The sensor assembly including an antenna coupled to the printed circuit board, the antenna coupled to the bottom surface of the printed circuit board and extending through an opening in the printed circuit board and outwardly from the top surface. The sensor assembly including a power source disposed below the printed circuit board and coupled to the printed circuit board and a case at least partially enclosing the printed circuit board, antenna, and power source, wherein the case includes a sensing opening configured to allow fluid to contact the one or more sensing element.
Apparatus and method for user interfacing in display glasses
A wearable apparatus for display glasses is provided. According to certain embodiments, the apparatus includes a display configured to provide a display of information that includes at least two options for selection. The apparatus further includes an electromyograph device and a processor. The electromyograph device is configured to track muscle activity of a wearer of the display glasses. The processor is configured to determine a plurality of events based on the muscle activity. The plurality of events are associated with at least one of types of the muscle activity, occurring numbers of the types of the muscle activity, or occurring time of the types of the muscle activity. One of the at least two options is identified based on the plurality of events.
Smart glasses with augmented reality capability for dentistry
The present disclosure describes smart glasses that support variable magnification of an operating field and hands-free operations in dentistry. One or more operations and functions efficiently achieved via the smart glasses comprise: receiving, with smart glasses, a user-initiated request for a specific operation; activating, using the smart glasses, a camera with initial settings; generating a floating image through a micro-projector and a specifically-coated prism coupled to the camera; receiving a user input to adjust a camera setting to adjust the floating image; and dynamically controlling, using the smart glasses, the camera for the specific operation.
MOUTH-OPENING MEASURING DEVICE
A mouth-opening measuring device includes a first end and an opposing second end. The width of the first end is less than the width of the second end such that the different widths on the first and second ends provide for different mouth opening abilities of an individual when either the first end or the second end is inserted into an individual's mouth.
