ANALYZING A PATIENT'S BREATHING BASED ON ONE OR MORE AUDIO SIGNALS
Audio signals, collected with equipment commonly available to individuals (e.g., a mobile device), can be used to analyze a patient’s breathing. An audio signal associated with the patient’s breathing for a time period can be detected with the mobile device and used to approximate the patient’s respiratory flow for the time period. For example, the audio signal can be analyzed by determining a representation of an audio frequency of the audio signal, splitting the audio frequency of the audio signal into distinct time steps, determining points comprising a weighted mean frequency at each time step, applying a frequency-to-flow rate linear transformation at each time step to approximate the respiratory flow versus time, and plotting a graphical representation of the respiratory flow versus time. The respiratory flow for the time period can be tagged with a factor related to the patient and saved in a database for future analysis.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONVERTING PHYSIOLOGICAL SIGNALS
A method for converting physiological signals includes: obtaining a first signal as a function of a time parameter, wherein the first signal represents electrocardiogram data; obtaining a second signal as a function of the time parameter, wherein the second signal represents physiological data different from the electrocardiogram data; mixing the first signal and the second signal to obtain a mixed signal; and generating a frequency spectrum pertaining to the mixed signal.
Frequency analysis for predicting left ventricular dysfunction
Systems and methods are provided for evaluating infranodal pacing is applied to a patient. Electrocardiogram (ECG) data representing the pacing is obtained from a set of electrodes as an ECG lead. A predictor value representing a frequency content a portion of the ECG lead is extracted. A fitness parameter is determined for the pacing from at least the predictor value. The fitness parameter represents a likelihood that the applied infranodal pacing will induce left ventricular dysfunction in the patient. The fitness parameter is displayed to a user at an associated display.
Wearable respiratory monitoring system based on resonant microphone array
A method for continuous acoustic signature recognition and classification includes a step of obtaining an audio input signal from a resonant microphone array positioned proximate to a target, the audio input signal having a plurality of channels. The target produces characterizing audio signals depending on a state or condition of the target. A plurality of features is extracted from the audio input signal with a signal processor. The plurality of features is classified to determine the state of the target. An acoustic monitoring system implementing the method is also provided.

An apparatus for estimating bio-information includes: an impedance sensor including a pair of input electrodes and a pair of receiving electrodes, and configured to measure bio-impedance of a user by applying a current to the pair of input electrodes and by measuring a voltage between the pair of receiving electrodes; and a processor configured to estimate bio-information by applying, to the measured bio-impedance, an estimation model that uses a correlation between the measured bio-impedance and the bio-information to be estimated.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EVALUATING THE QUALITY OF A PHYSIOLOGICAL SIGNAL
A method, intended for the evaluation of the quality of at least one periodic or quasi-periodic physiological signal, which includes the steps of: segmenting the physiological signal temporally into a plurality of signal segments; for each given signal segment, determining a distance representative of a shape difference between the given signal segment and at least one signal segment temporally offset relative to the given signal segment; and determining a quality index of the given signal segment according to the distance determined for the given signal segment.

The devices and methods include determining a position of the endoscope within the patient in the endoscope's coordinate system, capturing in an image fiducial markers attached to the endoscope by an external optical tracker, transforming the captured fiducial markers from the endoscope's coordinate system to the optical tracker's coordinate system, projecting a virtual image of the endoscope on a model of the patient's organ, and projecting or displaying the combined image.
APPARATUS FOR, METHOD OF, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT HAVING PROGRAM OF DISPLAYING BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION
A biological information displaying apparatus according to an embodiment includes a picture obtaining apparatus and a processor. The picture obtaining apparatus obtains a picture signal of a predetermined site of a subject as a moving image. The processor generates a hue moving image by extracting a luminance or an image-based photoplethysmogram (iPPG) related to a pulse wave for each pixel of the moving image and assigning a hue in accordance with a value of luminance information or iPPG information. The processor displays the generated hue moving image such that the hue moving image is superimposed on an image of the subject.
