Adjustable silicone wrist band and kit
The invention is an assortment of apparatuses to magnetically tether a dental hygienist's hand to the utility tubes and hoses commonly found in a dental office. In a preferred embodiment, this is an adjustable silicone utility band containing a magnet which is worn by the hygienist. This tethers him or her to a utility hose or tube, which has a clasp that contains a reciprocal magnet. In another embodiment, the invention is a ring or fingergrip which contain magnets that tether to the utility hose or tube via the magnetized clasp.
FIXING STRUCTURE OF DENTAL HANDPIECE
A fixing structure of a dental handpiece has a transmission assembly for connecting a handpiece head, a positioning sleeve sleeved onto the transmission assembly and having a positioning member thereon, and a casing composed of a front casing and a rear casing. The front casing is sleeved onto the positioning sleeve. The rear casing is detachably connected to one end of the front casing. The front casing is provided with a push member. The push member is inserted inwardly to lean against the positioning member for the positioning member to be tightly pressed against an outer circumferential surface of the transmission assembly so that the front casing, the positioning sleeve and the transmission assembly are fixed and connected together.
Interproximal reduction tool and method
An interproximal reduction tool and method preferably includes at least one polishing strip; at least one abrasive wheel; and a low speed and high torque dental electric motor. First, the area between two adjacent teeth is manually polished with the a plurality of polishing strips. The polishing strip is held between a forefinger and thumb and moved in a horizontal plane. Each abrasive wheel preferably includes an abrasive disc and a shaft. The abrasive disc includes a disc base and abrasive material. The abrasive material is adhered to opposing sides of the disc base. It is preferable to have an annular space between an outer edge of the disc base and an outer perimeter of the annular abrasive material. The low speed/high torque motor preferably utilizes an existing dental motor and modifies the dental motor to have a preferable gear reduction of at least 16:1.
HANDPIECE ADAPTER FOR AN ENDODONTIC FILE
In some embodiments, the current invention relates to a method and/or system for using a standard dental handpiece for endodontic cleaning. For example, a dental adapter is disclosed having a fitting for a standard dental handpiece, a torque limiter and/or a mount for an endodontic file. For example, the adapter may be single use and/or multi use. In some embodiments, the mount includes the torque limiter. For example, an endodontic file may be connected to the mount with a friction fitting that allows rotation of the file with respect to the mount at high torque. Optionally the mount is positioned eccentrically with respect to the fitting.
DENTAL HANDPIECE
A dental handpiece is a dental handpiece configured to detachably hold a cutting tool. The dental handpiece includes: a holding portion provided with an insertion port into which the cutting tool is insertable, the holding portion being configured to hold the cutting tool inserted in the insertion port; and a main body portion configured to accommodate the holding portion, the main body portion being provided with a water introduction hole and a plurality of chip air holes. The plurality of chip air holes are disposed to sandwich the water introduction hole in a second direction, the second direction intersecting a first direction in which the insertion port and the water introduction hole are arranged.
DENTAL HANDPIECE
A dental handpiece includes a main body portion, a holding portion, and a releasing mechanism. The releasing mechanism includes a cap, a cap ring, and a push cap. The cap includes an outer annular portion and an inner annular portion provided with at least one window portion. The push cap is configured to be movable to a releasing position between the outer annular portion and the inner annular portion in a direction in which the push cap is put on the cap ring, the releasing position being a position at which the holding portion is released. The cap ring includes at least one claw portion anchored to the at least one window portion from the inner side. The at least one claw portion is disposed on the inner side with respect to the inner annular portion.
MEDICAL DENTAL GRINDING APPARATUS
A medical dental grinding apparatus comprises an apparatus body, wherein an air pipeline, a clamping mechanism, and a grinding mechanism are provided in the apparatus body; the air pipeline includes an air inlet pipeline, an air outlet pipeline, and a U-shaped connection pipeline; a silencer is connected to an upper port of the air outlet pipeline; a plane where the air pipeline is located is perpendicular to a plane where the clamping mechanism is located, and the grinding mechanism is provided below the air pipeline. According to the present invention, the grinding mechanism is driven by high-pressure air in the air pipeline to operate, so that a hidden danger of electric leakage caused by using an electric apparatus in a fragile oral environment is avoided; and a steel wire is fixed by means of the clamping mechanism, so that the grinding safety is ensured.
MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENT DEVICE AND TOOL FOR SUCH A TREATMENT DEVICE
A medical or dental treatment device comprises a tool retainer, a measuring coil and an evaluation device. The tool retainer can be connected to a plurality of different tools. The measuring coil can be supplied with a periodic electrical energy. The evaluation device can be connected to the measuring coil for detecting whether a tool is connected to the treatment device or which of a plurality of tools is connected to the treatment device. On the basis of an electromagnetic (e.g., inductive) coupling between the tool accommodated in the tool retainer and the measuring coil supplied with the periodic energy, a periodic measurement signal specific to each tool can be generated and assigned by the evaluation device to the tool. The evaluation device determines the phase shift of the electrical voltage and of the electric current of the periodic measurement signal.
Device For Holding Medical Instruments And Method of Using Same
A holder for medical/dental instruments and method of using the holder. The holder may include a body, including a first surface and a second surface. The holder may further include a ridge formed along a length of the first surface of the body; a wall portion formed along the length of the first surface of the body and extending vertically therefrom, wherein the wall portion may be parallel to and spaced apart from the ridge; and a plurality of grooves formed in the ridge.
