DURABLE ORNAMENTAL INDICIA CARRIER

The present disclosure relates to ornamental indicia carrier and method of producing the same. In some embodiments, the ornamental indicia carrier comprises an ultraviolet light (“UV”) cured ink printed on a thin flexible film and combined with an adhesive layer. The ornamental indicia carrier is capable of enduring the conditions inside the mouth for an extended period of time and can be used in conjunction with a dental appliance.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR LOCATING MARKS ON ORTHODONTIC APPLIANCES

A computer-implemented method for marking an object on an aligner. The aligner surface is modeled. The method includes calculating a normal for each tile in a tessellated surface and disqualifying a tile from being selected. For tiles not disqualified, a patch is identified that produces a markable area. The method includes selecting an object to be marked, calculating a location of the object in the markable area, and providing the location of the object to a marking device. Disqualifying includes comparing an angle between a normal and an orientation of the beam to an origin of the calculated normal on each tile. Disqualifying includes disqualifying the at least one tile when the angle is outside of a range of −90° to +90°. Identifying the patch includes separating the patch into at least two smaller patches, and one of the two smaller patches of tiles is the markable area.

Temporary tooth repair/treatment composition and methods of use thereof

A method that includes the step of using a person's fingers to push a dental composition into engagement with a damaged tooth surface of a damaged tooth thereby adhering the dental composition to the damaged tooth surface and covering at least a portion of the damaged tooth surface. The dental composition includes a base material comprising at least one of the following compounds chosen from the group consisting of: a product consisting of one or more hydrocarbon-based waxes that may also include inorganic fillers and/or organic fillers; an uncured, uncrosslinked silicone high consistency rubber base; and a hydrophobic water insoluble solid material that is malleable at 37° C. or lower and safe for a human oral environment. The base material has at least one dry, powdered hydrophilic polymeric substance engaged with and dispersed on one or more surface of the base material.

CUSTOMIZED TEMPORARY VENEERS AND METHODS OF PROVIDING THE SAME
20230181284 · 2023-06-15 ·

Customized temporary veneers that are configured to be temporarily installed in a customer’s mouth and provide a desired oral appearance thereto. The customized temporary veneers include a veneer body configured to extend across at least a portion of a target region of the customer’s mouth and including oral-facing and outward-facing surfaces. The oral-facing surface is configured support the customized temporary veneer relative to the target region by engagement with one or more vestibular surfaces within the target region. A plurality of oral features define at least a portion of the outward-facing surface and are configured to present the desired oral appearance. The methods may include obtaining a representation of the target region, selecting the plurality of oral features, and creating the customized temporary veneer, which includes forming the veneer body, shaping the oral-facing surface based on the representation, and providing the plurality of oral features to the outward-facing surface.

Method of self determining the degree of fit of an orthodontic aligner by a patient with the patient's teeth
11253340 · 2022-02-22 ·

A method of monitoring the degree of fit of an aligner among a series of aligners includes the steps of selecting an aligner in the series of aligners whose fit to a patient's teeth are to be tested to determine its fit with the selected aligner; disposing a nontoxic colored plastic material into the selected aligner; setting the patient's teeth into the selected aligner containing the material; and determining the amount of material disposed onto the interior aligner's surfaces by visual inspection by assessment of the material disposed therein, a good fit being indicated by a minimum of material extruded onto almost all of the interior aligner surfaces and by a light color, and a poor fit being indicated by an excess of material extruded onto one or more locations of the aligner interior surfaces and a dark color.

CUSTOMIZED ROOT CANAL OBTURATION CORES AND METHODS OF MAKING CUSTOMIZED ROOT CANAL OBTURATION CORES
20170245961 · 2017-08-31 ·

A core for obturating a root canal includes a body that has a pre-formed contour that closely matches a contour of the root canal. When the core is inserted in the root canal with or without sealer, there are essentially no voids in the root canal. A method of making a customized root canal obturation core includes generating a three-dimensional image of a root canal. The method also includes manufacturing the customized root canal obturation core based on the three-dimensional image of the root canal. The customized root canal obturation core has a preformed contour that closely matches a contour of the root canal such that when the core is inserted in the root canal with or without sealer there are essentially no voids in the root canal.

To provide a zirconia sintered body having both excellent translucency and bending strength, specifically a zirconia sintered body having both translucency and strength suitable as a denture for front tooth, and a process for its production. A translucent zirconia sintered body containing more than 4.0 mol % and at most 6.5 mol % of yttria and less than 0.1 wt % of alumina, and having a relative density of at least 99.82%, a total light transmittance of at least 37% and less than 40% to light with a wavelength of 600 nm at a thickness of 1.0 mm, and a bending strength of at least 500 MPa, and a process for its production.

FIXATION PIN

A method including fixing a dental drill template with a fixation pin including a rod and a head attached to the rod. The dental drill template can be fixed by inserting the rod into the drill template or a sleeve provided in the drill template such that a bearing surface of the head bears at least partially on the drill template. The rod has a shape of an essentially circular cylinder and extends from the bearing surface of the head at an essentially right angle. A diameter of the head at the bearing surface is larger than the diameter of the rod.
