Method for producing dentures
A method for producing dentures uses a green compact containing a mixture of ceramic powder and a binder system. A ceramic shell for dentures can be produced from the green compact and can be shaped and can be adapted to a carrier prior to a firing step below a temperature of 1050° C.
Method for constructing a restoration
The invention relates to a method for constructing a restoration, in which a dental situation is measured by means of a dental camera and a 3D model of the dental situation is generated. In this case, a computer-assisted detection algorithm is applied to the 3D model of the dental situation, wherein a type of restoration and/or at least a tooth number and/or a position of the restoration to be inserted are automatically determined.
Ceramic dental restorations made by additive manufacturing
An additively manufactured dental crown with a wall having a bottom edge and an occlusal portion joined with the wall opposite the bottom edge. The wall and occlusal portion form an interior surface and an opposing exterior surface. By using additive manufacturing and materials for such, the dental crown can have thin walls with a thickness of less than 300 microns at the thinnest portion of it and can include fine printed features such as identifiers, internal ribs, slots, porous meshes, and retention elements.
SELF-ASSEMBLING PEPTIDES IN THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CAVITATED CARIOUS LESIONS
The invention is in the field of caries prevention and treatment, in particular minimally-invasive, or non-invasive dental decay treatment. It relates to a composition and a kit comprising a self-assembling peptide, such as the self-assembling peptide P11-4 or P11-8, and a dental agent, namely a dental sealant, e.g. a glass-ionomer cement-based sealant or a resin-based sealant, a fluoride varnish, a dental restorative material or a bonding agent. The invention further relates to a composition and kit comprising a self-assembling peptide and a dental agent for use in the treatment of a carious lesion, preferably a cavitated carious lesion. The self-assembling peptide prevents secondary caries after failure of the dental agent used in treatment of cavitated caries, especially in case of a failing interface between the restoration with the dental agent and the tooth. The composition and kit of the present invention may also be used for pulp capping.

METHODS FOR GENERATING COMPOSITE IMAGES OF A PATIENT
A computer-implemented method for generating a virtual depiction of an orthodontic treatment of a patient is disclosed herein. The computer-implemented method may involve gathering a three-dimensional (3D) model modeling the patient's dentition at a specific treatment stage of an orthodontic treatment plan. An image of the patient's face and dentition may be gathered. A first set of reference points modeled on the 3D model of the patient's dentition and a second set of reference points represented on the dentition of the image of the patient may be received. The image of the patient's dentition may be projected into a 3D space to create a projected 3D model of the image of the patient's dentition. Based on a comparison of the first reference points and projections of the second set of reference points, a plurality of modified images of the patient may be constructed to depict progressive stages of a treatment plan.
Dental restoration molding techniques
A custom tool for forming a dental restoration in a mouth of a patient includes a mold body providing for a customized fit with at least one tooth of the patient. The mold body includes a facial portion forming a facial surface corresponding with a facial surface of the tooth, and a separate lingual portion forming a lingual surface corresponding with a lingual surface of the tooth. The mold body is configured to combine with the tooth of the patient to form a mold cavity encompassing missing tooth structure of the tooth.
Method for constructing at least one dental prosthetic part or a bracket having at least one adhesive surface
The invention relates to a method for constructing at least one dental prosthetic part or a bracket, with at least one adhesive surface, in which a 3D model is made of the dental prosthetic part. Recesses are constructed on the adhesive surface of the 3D model.
Temporary tooth repair/treatment composition and methods of use thereof
At least one individually sealed dental composition that includes a layer of a thermoplastic film; a covering film that is a heat sealable or pressure sealable adhesive liner that covers a dental cement composition; a seal around an individual use dosage of the dental cement composition wherein the extrudable dental cement composition is extrudable through a die. The dental cement composition typically has a textured surface thereon and the at least one dry, powdered hydrophilic polymeric substance is engaged with and dispersed on the textured surface of the dental cement composition.
