PROCESS FOR MAKING ARTICLES AND APPARATUS
A process and an apparatus for producing hygienic absorbent articles provided with at least one refastenable side seam from a chain of articles being formed having a first elastic sheet and a second elastic sheet, wherein the process and the apparatus are configured to perform operations on one or both of the elastic sheets in a cross direction, that is, with the elastic sheets parallel to the machine direction.
Pad
To provide a pad that folds in three in the front-back direction maintaining the shapes of a large number of convex portions protruding on a front-face sheet that prevents the deterioration of liquid diffusibility. The left front side portion and the left back side portion are folded inward with a first left side folding line which is extending in the front-back direction as the center for the folding and which is provided close to the left side with respect to the left side narrowing edge, and the right front side portion and the right back side portion are folded inward with a first right side holding line which is extending in the front-back direction and which is provided close to the right side with respect to the left side narrowing edge.
Apparatus and method for folding
Discrete items are conveyed, preferably by a vacuum conveyor, in a machine direction toward a pair of rotating blades. A first intended target of folding, for instance a right portion of front and back panels of a diaper, travels up a ramp, raising the level of the intended target. A rotating blade passes under the intended target of folding, and folds the right portion of front and back panels of a diaper over. If desired, a second intended target of folding, for instance a left portion of front and back panels of a diaper, travels up a second ramp, raising the level of the intended target. A rotating blade passes under the second intended target of folding, and folds the left portion of front and back panels of a diaper over. The folded diaper then exits the folding system and travels downstream for further processing as desired.
A METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING ONE OR MORE CUT-OUT NONWOVEN MATERIAL MEMBERS FOR USE IN AN ABSORBENT ARTICLE
Disclosed is a method for transferring cut-out nonwoven material members, the method including feeding a continuous web of a nonwoven material towards cutter and anvil roll, passing the continuous web between the cutter and anvil roll, the cutter roll having knives protruding from the circumferential surface, the knives having an edge with a first outline shape seen in a circumferential direction of the cutter roll, cutting the continuous web thereby forming cut-out nonwoven material members having a second outline shape corresponding to the first outline shape of the respective edge of the knives, and transferring the cut-out members to a vacuum roll having an outer circumferential surface that includes a plurality of vacuum ports arranged in a pattern, the pattern including pattern units each having a third outline shape, the pattern units fitting within the second outline shape of the cut-out members.
Articles having an acquisition layer with stretch openings and processes to make them
An absorbent article such as a diaper comprising an acquisition layer with one or more longitudinally-extending stretch openings is provided. The stretch openings may be obtained by slitting and stretching an acquisition layer material. The topsheet forms recesses at the wearer-facing surface of the absorbent article as it folds inside the stretch openings. The stretch openings may provide a three dimensional profile on the wearer-facing side of the absorbent article in a simple and cost effective manner.
TAPED AND PANT DIAPERS COMPRISING SUBSTANTIALLY IDENTICAL CHASSIS
The present disclosure relates to taped and pant articles comprising substantially identical chassis.
WRAPPER FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The disclosure pertains to a wrapper (22) for an absorbent article (10) comprising a layer of cellulosic fibers (33), a layer of peeling agent (32) arranged onto the layer of cellulosic fibers (33). According to the disclosure, the layer of cellulosic fibers (33) comprises a basis weight comprised between 10 gsm and 40 gsm. The disclosure also relates to an assembly comprising an absorbent article (10) and such wrapper (22) and a process to manufacture such assembly (10).
METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING KITS OF SANITARY PRODUCTS, AND RELATED APPARATUS
A method and an apparatus are disclosed for assembling kits of sanitary products which involves loading of the sanitary products into containers including a plurality of independent housings for the sanitary products, each of the housings being configured to allow loading of a sanitary product therein and withdrawal of the sanitary product therefrom independently of the other housings.
Device and method for folding web material in a plant and process for producing layered composite articles
A device for folding web material in a plant for producing layered composite articles includes: a first guide defining a feeding plane for feeding a web material; a second guide positioned downstream of the first guide and defining a receiving plane for receiving the web material, wherein the receiving plane is substantially orthogonal to the feeding plane. A folder is arranged between the first guide and the second guide and includes an elongated edge having a first end close to the first guide and a second end close to the second guide. The elongated edge is extended from the first guide towards the second guide in the receiving plane and away from the feeding plane, in order to progressively move an intermediate portion of the web material away from the feeding plane and fold in two the web material as it travels from the first guide towards the second guide.
Method for manufacturing worn article
A method including: a step of carrying first and second continuous webs in a predetermined carrying direction; a first slitting step of slitting the first continuous web along a virtual first cut-off line extending the carrying direction, thereby dividing the first continuous web into a wider first divided web and a narrower second divided web; a step of sandwiching an around-torso elastic member extending in a girth direction between the wider first divided web and the second continuous web; a welding step of welding together the first divided web, the second continuous web and the around-torso elastic member intermittently in the carrying direction, thereby producing a layered sheet; and a bonding step of sandwiching an around-leg elastic member meandering relative to the carrying direction between the layered sheet and the narrower second divided web, and attaching the around-leg elastic member thereto by an adhesive, thereby producing a stretchable continuous sheet.
