The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article comprising first and second compression lines in a forward region of the article. The article has a core with a first area which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core in the crotch portion comprises the first and second compression lines, which are separated from each other at their closest point by a minimum distance D1, measured in the transverse direction.

The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article comprising a pair of curved compression lines in a rear portion of the article. A feminine hygiene article comprising: a liquid permeable topsheet; a secondary topsheet beneath the topsheet, having a secondary topsheet length measured along a longitudinal direction; a liquid impermeable backsheet; an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and an absorbent core disposed between the secondary topsheet and the backsheet, the absorbent core having a pair of substantially parallel and substantially straight longitudinal side edges, the side edges terminating at respective forward intersections with a projection of the absorbent core, the side edges terminating at respective rearward intersections with a rearward recess of the absorbent core, and a total core length measured along the longitudinal direction at the forwardmost and rearward most points of the absorbent core, wherein: the total core length is less than the secondary topsheet length; a forward portion of the secondary topsheet length forwardly overhangs the forward projection; a rearward portion of the secondary topsheet length rearwardly overhangs the rearward recess; the total core length as measured at the forwardmost and rearward most points of the absorbent core is from about 75% to about 99% of the secondary topsheet length as measured at the forwardmost and rearward most points of the secondary topsheet; and the forward projection and the rearward recess are substantially complementary in size and shape. When folded the feminine hygiene article has an absorbent core 18 which does not substantially overlap at the forewardmost extent of the absorbent core, which includes the projection, and rearwardmost extent of the absorbent core, which includes the recess, such that the overall folded thickness of the feminine hygiene article is minimized.

A packaged elongate sanitary protection product includes a folded sanitary protection product enveloped in a substantially circular package and having first and second arcuate end portions comprising first and second ends, respectively, separated by a central portion. The topsheet and backsheet are joined in a flange surrounding the absorbent structure, and the absorbent structure comprises at least three intersecting, substantially circular sections aligned along a longitudinal axis. A first circular section is associated with the first arcuate end portion, and a second section is associated with the second arcuate end portion, and a central portion is associated with at least one intervening substantially circular portion. The intersections define folding axes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and enlarged flange sections of the topsheet and backsheet. The product is folded at the fold lines and the enlarged flange sections are folded inwardly to give the product a generally circular form.
