BELLOWS SHAPED SPINAL IMPLANT HAVING GYROID LATTICE STRUCTURES
A bellows shaped spinal implant, comprising an upper plate, a lower plate and a bellows shaped shell extending between and joining the upper and lower plates. The bellows shaped shell is formed of titanium or an alloy comprising titanium and includes a wall extending therearound that defines a hollow interior. The wall has a thickness in the range of 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm to provide for radiographic imaging through the wall. The wall is angled or curved inwardly or outwardly between the upper and lower plates to provide stiffness mimicking the stiffness properties of a similarly sized polyetheretherketone (PEEK) implant. The upper and lower plates each comprise porous contact regions including a three-dimensional gyroid lattice structure defined by a plurality of struts and pores in communication with the hollow interior. The outer surfaces of at least a portion of the struts may comprise a laser ablated textured surface.
IMPLANTABLE URETHRA RESTRICTION DEVICE
An implantable constriction device (10) for constricting a urethra (U) of a patient. The implantable constriction device (10) comprises at least one operable hydraulic constriction element (101a) configured to be inflated to constrict the urethra (U) for restricting the flow of urine therethrough, and a controller for controlling the inflation of the at least one operable hydraulic constriction element (101a).
Drainage device comprising a filter cleaning device
The present invention relates to a filtering device for removing particles from a bodily fluid of a patient, the filtering device being implantable in the patient's body. The device has a tube forming a main fluid passageway for bodily fluid, through which the bodily fluid of the patient passes when the tube is implanted in the patient, a filter connected to the tube and a filter cleaning device for cleaning the filter by moving particles collected by the filter out of the fluid passageway, wherein the filter cleaning device is adapted to replace the first filter in the fluid passageway with a second filter, thereby moving the particles collected by the first filter out of the fluid passageway.
SPINAL FUSION DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
According to some embodiments, a method of inserting a lateral implant within an intervertebral space defined between an upper vertebral member and a lower vertebral member includes creating a lateral passage through a subject in order to provide minimally invasive access to the intervertebral space, at least partially clearing out native tissue of the subject within and/or near the intervertebral space, positioning a base plate within the intervertebral space, wherein the base plate comprise an upper base plate and a lower base plate and advancing an implant between the upper base plate and the lower base plate so that the implant is urged into the intervertebral space and the upper vertebral member is distracted relative to the lower vertebral member.
HAPTIC OPTIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM UTILIZING ROTATING CAMS
Systems, methods, and devices for inserting an intraocular lens (IOL) into an eye may be provided. An example haptic optic management system may comprise a first cam assembly comprising a first cam body portion, an opening in the first cam body portion, and haptic folder arms disposed in the opening. The haptic optic management system may further comprise a second cam assembly positioned on one side of the first cam assembly, wherein the second cam assembly comprises a second cam body portion, an opening in the second cam body portion, and optic folders disposed in the opening. The haptic optic management system may further comprise a central plate for holding an intraocular lens in the opening of the second cam body portion, wherein the central plate is disposed between the first cam assembly and the second cam assembly.
ELECTRONIC IMPLANTABLE PENILE PROSTHESIS
According to an aspect, an inflatable penile prosthesis includes a fluid reservoir configured to hold fluid, an inflatable member, and an electronic pump assembly configured to transfer the fluid between the fluid reservoir and the inflatable member. The electronic pump assembly includes a pump, an active valve disposed in parallel with the pump, and a controller configured to control the pump and the active valve.
ELECTRONIC IMPLANTABLE PENILE PROSTHESIS WITH PRESSURE REGULATION AND OTHER FUNCTIONS
According to an aspect, an inflatable penile prosthesis includes a fluid reservoir configured to hold fluid, an inflatable member, and an electronic pump assembly configured to transfer the fluid between the fluid reservoir and the inflatable member. The electronic pump assembly includes a pump, an active valve, a pressure sensor configured to measure a pressure of the inflatable member, and a controller configured to control at least one of the pump or the active valve based on the measured pressure.
TRANSPONDERS AND SENSORS FOR IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Implantable transponders comprising no ferromagnetic parts for use in medical implants are disclosed herein. Such transponders may assist in preventing interference of transponders with medical imaging technologies. Such transponders may optionally be of a small size, and may assist in collecting and transmitting data and information regarding implanted medical devices. Methods of using such transponders, readers for detecting such transponders, and methods for using such readers are also described.
INTERBODY FUSION DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Delivery systems for prosthetic heart valve
Described herein are systems and methods from delivering prosthetic devices, such as prosthetic heart valves, through the body and into the heart for implantation therein. The prosthetic devices delivered with the delivery systems disclosed herein are, for example, radially expandable from a radially compressed state mounted on the delivery system to a radially expanded state for implantation using an inflatable balloon of the delivery system. Exemplary delivery routes through the body and into the heart include transfemoral routes, transapical routes, and transaortic routes, among others.
