CONDUCTIVE HUMAN INTERFACES

A conductive human interface has a fabric layer with an interior surface and an exterior surface. A soft coating overlies the interior surface of the fabric layer. An electrode or sensor is included to connect with a user. A conductive path connects the electrode or sensor with an electrical connector which, in turn connects with a prosthetic or other assistive device. The conductive path includes a conductor having a section overlying the fabric layer. The overlying section of the conductor can be cord of conductive thread. A nonconductive support thread can extend through the fabric layer from the exterior surface to the interior surface, and further around the conductor to secure the overlying section of the conductor to the fabric layer.

A prosthetic liner having a lower longitudinal stretch in the distal region than in either the proximal or optional intermediate region. The distal region may stretch anywhere from 0-30% vertically and 10-200% horizontally as compared to the proximal region's vertical stretch of 55-125% and 100-175% horizontally. The stretch of the liner at various pressure sensitive regions of a residual limb can also be lowered or heightened depending on the area. A variety of stitches may be used at the distal end to implement this lowered longitudinal stretch. Preferably, the liner is made of a stretchable material. The liner also has an interior layer of elastomer gel. The design of this prosthetic liner is primarily to prevent the “pistoning” of the amputee's residual limb within the liner and for comfort over pressure-sensitive areas of the residual limb. The liner also includes the use of a low extensibility material which is adhered to the fabric portion of a prosthetic liner or orthotic liner either internally or externally and limits the longitudinal movement while allowing for transversal movement. The customizable nature of the invention allows for shaping and personalization depending on the needs of the user.

A flexible prosthetic inner socket that resides inside of a rigid prosthetic socket that is fabricated by forming a sized, injection molded, flexible inner pre-socket. The flexible inner pre-socket includes a body formed with an opening and an enclosed end. The Pre-socket can be heated and stretched over a prosthetic residual limb model and then a prosthetic rigid socket can be formed over it. It can also be heated and vacuum-formed inside of an existing hard prosthetic socket in order to provide global volume reduction intended to make the rigid prosthetic socket fit tighter onto the residual limb. The opening of the flexible inner socket may be trimmed after the formation to fit contours of an opening of the rigid prosthetic socket.

An improved composition for a thermoplastic elastomer that is used in a product that touches the skin. The thermoplastic elastomer contains a styrene block copolymer, a plasticizing oil, and CBD oil. The plasticizing oil and the CBD oil, in combination, comprise at least eighty percent of the thermoplastic elastomer by weight. The plasticizing oil and the CBD oil have the same, or similar, molecular weights. In that manner, the plasticizing oil and the CBD oil can form a homogenous mixture. The CBD oil saturates the thermoplastic elastomer and will slowly bloom out of the thermoplastic elastomer over time. The migration of the CBD oil brings the CBD oil to the exposed surfaces of the thermoplastic elastomer, therein enabling the CBD oil to be absorbed by the skin.

In particular, a first connection element (12) of the first closure part (1) has at least one guide portion (121), and a second connection element (22) of the second closure part (2) has at least one closure portion (221), wherein—the guide portion (121) has a guide surface (1210) which is inclined relative to the connection axis (A), with which the closure portion (221) comes into contact when the second closure part (2) is placed on the first closure part (1), and which forces the second connection element (22) to rotate about the connection axis (A) relative to the first connection element (12) along a first rotational direction (D1) when the two closure parts (1, 2) further approach each other under the effect of at least two magnet elements (M1, M2; M3, M4) of the closure device (V), —the closure device (V) has an adjusting device (M3, M4; 24) by means of which a force is applied to the second connection element (22), which has now assumed an intermediate position, in a second rotational direction (D2) opposite the first rotational direction (D1) such that the second connection element (22) is automatically rotated out of the intermediate position into a closed position relative to the first connection element (12) along the second rotational direction (D2), and —in the closed position (a), the closure portion (221) at least partly engages behind the guide portion (121) in order to hold the connection elements (12, 22), and thus the closure parts (1, 2), against each other, and (b) the second connection element (22) can be rotated in the first rotational direction (D1) in order to release the two closure parts (1, 2) from each other in order to open the closure device (V).
