System and method of attaching soft tissue to an implant
One embodiment of the present invention is directed to compositions and methods for enhancing attachment of soft tissues to a metal prosthetic device. In one embodiment a construct is provided comprising a metal implant having a porous metal region, wherein said porous region exhibits a nano-textured surface.
Intervertebral implant
An adjustable spinal fusion intervertebral implant including upper and lower body portions each having proximal and distal surfaces at proximal and distal ends thereof. The implant can include a proximal wedge member disposed at the proximal ends of the respective ones of the upper and lower body portions, and a distal wedge member disposed at the distal ends of the respective ones of the upper and lower body portions. First and second linkages can connect the upper and lower body portions. Rotation of an actuator shaft can cause the distal and proximal wedge members to be drawn together such that longitudinal movement of the distal wedge member against the distal surfaces and the longitudinal movement of the proximal wedge member against the proximal surfaces causes separation of the upper and lower body portions.
Nanostructure surface coated medical implants and methods of using the same
Compositions including a surface or film comprising nanofibers, nanotubes or microwells comprising a bioactive agent for elution to the surrounding tissue upon placement of the composition in a subject are disclosed The compositions are useful in medical implants and methods of treating a patient in need of an implant, including orthopedic implants, dental implants, cardiovascular implants, neurological implants, neurovascular implants, gastrointestinal implants, muscular implants, and ocular implants.
INTERSOMATIC CAGE FOR VERTEBRAL STABILIZATION
Intersomatic cage for vertebral stabilization, including a generally prismatic body consisting of surface receptacles containing slow prolonged release substances selected from the classes of anti-inflammatory, anti-infection and bone regrowth promoter drugs. The receptacles are in the form of gratings of grooves.
Meniscus Prosthetic Device Selection and Implantation Methods
Methods of selecting and implanting prosthetic devices for use as a replacement meniscus are disclosed. The selection methods include a pre-implantation selection method and a during-implantation selection method. The pre-implantation selection method includes a direct geometrical matching process, a correlation parameters-based matching process, and a finite element-based matching process. The implant identified by the pre-implantation selection method is then confirmed to be a suitable implant in the during-implantation selection method. Methods of implanting meniscus prosthetic devices are also disclosed.
Bioactive soft tissue implant and methods of manufacture and use thereof
A bioactive filamentary structure includes a sheath coated with a mixture of synthetic bone graft particles and a polymer solution forming a scaffold structure. In forming such a structure, synthetic bone graft particles and a polymer solution are applied around a filamentary structure. A polymer is precipitated from the polymer solution such that the synthetic bone graft particles and the polymer coat the filamentary structure and the polymer is adhered to the synthetic bone graft particles to retain the graft particles.

BONE IMPLANT
A bone implant includes a main body in the form of a hollow body open on both sides in the axial direction. The main body includes a load-bearing material. An encasing body at least partially encases the main body on the outside and includes an in vivo degradable/in vivo resorbable material. Alternatively, the encasing body includes a multiplicity of shaped bodies protruding from the main body in the radial direction that include an in vivo degradable/in vivo resorbable material. A method for producing the bone implant includes an additive manufacturing process. The main body can be at least partially encased by the encasing body in the additive manufacturing process.
ORTHOPAEDIC IMPLANT SYSTEMS INCLUDING INTERNAL NETWORKS AND METHODS OF REPAIR
This disclosure relates to orthopaedic implant systems and methods for repairing bone defects and restoring functionality to a joint. The implant systems and methods disclosed herein may include augments extending from respective baseplates. The augments may have an internal network for communicating material in the respective implant.
