MAGNETIC THERMAL CONTROL
A system for warming or cooling a mammal by affecting blood flow to a portion of the body that is warmed or cooled, the system. The system has at least one magnet having a magnetic field. The at least one magnet contacts, directly or indirectly, the body portion, a second body portion, or combinations thereof to increase blood flow, minimize vasoconstriction and/or encourage vasodilation. The system may have a heating or cooling source for delivering a thermal energy to the surface of the body portion while the at least one magnets increase blood flow, minimize vasoconstriction and/or encourage vasodilation, so that the vasodilation in the body or increased blood flow promotes absorption and transfer of the thermal energy from the body portion's surface to the mammal's core body.
Hyperthermic Cancerous Tissue Ablation
A system and method for hyperthermic ablation of cancerous tissue of a human patient is disclosed. A system and method include a vessel that is sized and adapted for receiving the human patient, and a circulation device outside of the vessel for circulating a thermally conductive liquid to and from the vessel, such that the portion of the human patient enclosed in the containment suit is at least partially submerged in the thermally conductive liquid when the human patient is in the vessel. The system and method further include a set of electromagnetic transmission coils at least partially around the vessel for inducing an alternating electromagnetic field around the human patient, the alternating electromagnetic field being directed, via the thermally conductive liquid, to the cancerous tissue that has been provided a conductive nanoparticle, to provide hyperthermic ablation of the cancerous tissue.
MOTION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, MOTION ASSISTANCE SYSTEM, AND MOTION ASSISTANCE SYSTEM CONTROL METHOD
An exercise assistance system includes a deep body thermometer attached to a user and including a temperature sensor, temperature adjustment equipment attached to at least one of a hand and a foot of the user, and a controller configured to communicate with the deep body thermometer and the temperature adjustment equipment. The deep body thermometer detects information related to deep body temperature of the user with the temperature sensor. The controller executes a process for determining whether the deep body temperature of the user is less than or equal to a predetermined temperature based on the detected information related to deep body temperature. When determined that the deep body temperature is not less than or equal to the predetermined temperature, the controller executes a process for outputting control information to the temperature adjustment equipment indicating a magnetic stimulating pattern that dilates blood vessels in a palm or foot bottom of the user.
Multi-layer heating mat for providing therapeutic heat to an area of the body
A heating mat that, by making use of a multilayered structure, is able to provide therapeutic benefits to a user. The heating mat has a heating layer, PEMF emitters, and a primary therapeutic layer. The primary therapeutic layer uses therapeutic materials that facilitate treatment. The heating layer functions as a flexible heating element for the heating mat. The PEMF emitters are devices which generate pulses of EM energy that are known to have therapeutic properties. The PEMF emitters is mounted adjacent to a first face of the heating layer. The primary therapeutic layer is mounted adjacent to a second face of the heating layer, opposite to the PEMF emitter.
INDUCTION HEATING APPLICATIONS
A system and method for inductive heating applications includes positioning one or more inductive heating elements in a location, delivering electromagnetic radiation, by a radiation source, to heat at least a portion of the one or more inductive heating elements, and detecting, by a detector, the heat generated by the one or more inductive heating elements. The system and method also include controlling, by a processing unit, a condition based on the detected heat.
THERMALLY ASSISTED PULSED ELECTRO-MAGNETIC FIELD STIMULATION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF OSTEOARTHRITIS OF THE KNEE
A method, apparatus and a system for thermally-assisted pulsed electromagnetic field stimulation for treatment of osteoarthritis in the knee are disclosed. A multi-coil applicator is adapted for positioning around the knee. A first coil is positioned on the top of the knee and provides electric field stimulation in the plane of the patella to stimulate the patella cartilage. Second and third coils are rectangular coils wrapped up below and above the knee respectively. The coils in the wrapped position generate a magnetic field along the knee axis and provide high amplitude of the electric field stimulation of the femoral and tibial cartilages in the plane of tibial plateau. Resistive heaters and free wheel diodes can be provided to the applicator to supply uniform thermal stimulation around the knee joint.
THERAPY SYSTEM FOR CANCER AND OTHER DISEASES
[Problem]
The therapy method and the therapy apparatus for difficult cancer such as ductal cancer and other diseases.
[Solution to Problem]
The therapy and the apparatus to beat cancer and other diseases by injecting the material which is energy receptive from outside and emissive heat to cancer cells in the body of a patient, and giving energy from outside.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DIFFUSE ENDOLUMINAL THERMAL LIQUID TREATMENT
A system may comprise a liquid source from which a liquid is delivered, and a catheter coupled to the liquid source. The catheter may include a distal portion from which the liquid is released into an anatomic lumen. The system may also include an occlusion device coupled to the catheter and configured to prevent flow of the liquid in the anatomic lumen proximally of the occlusion device. The system may also include a heating device near the distal portion of the catheter. The heating device may be configured to heat the liquid to a temperature of less than a vaporization temperature for the liquid.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LOCALIZED ENDOLUMINAL THERMAL LIQUID TREATMENT
A system for treating target tissue located at a first location along an anatomic lumen comprises a catheter including a distal end portion configured for deployment in the anatomic lumen. The system also comprises an expansion device coupled to the distal end portion of the catheter. The expansion device has an expanded size in a deployed configuration. The expansion device in the deployed configuration occludes the anatomic lumen at a second location, different from the first location, along the anatomic lumen. The expansion device also occludes at least one of a plurality of blood vessels adjacent the anatomic lumen to reduce blood flow to the target tissue at the first location.
