COLD THERAPY DEVICE
The present invention is directed to a device for absorbing heat from a body. More particularly, the invention pertains to an improved device which utilizes a gel material comprising liquids and solids to absorb, over an extended period of time, heat from a body. The present invention also includes methods of providing cold therapy treatment to a user
BEAUTY INSTRUMENT WITH MASK
A beauty instrument with mask includes a flexible mask and a controller. The flexible mask includes a first flexible layer, a second flexible layer, at least one heating layer located between the first flexible layer and the second flexible layer. The at least one heating layer includes a carbon nanotube layer including a plurality of carbon nanotubes uniformly distributed. The flexible mask is electrically coupled with the controller.
Portable therapeutic system using hot or cold temperature
Disclosed is a system which employs a cooling or heating pad which is preferably a thin, flexible pad for placement at an intended area of the body. The pad includes a layer of highly conductive material which can be cooled or heated using a portable source of heat or cold material delivered to the conductive material by a delivery conduit. Valves can be included to regulate flow of the cooling or heating material from the source to the pad. The system can also include a dual-chambered canister for containing two different media for heating, cooling or for alternating heating and cooling the pad.
Thermoregulating gelpack
A gel-pack has a plurality of self-contained components organized as layers in an interior chamber of the gel-pack. Each layer may be inserted into, and removed from, the interior chamber individually. The components include a solid-state gel layer that stores thermal energy, a first radiant energy barrier that prevents the transfer of thermal energy radiating from an exterior of the gel-pack into the solid-state gel layer, and a second radiant energy barrier that reflects the thermal energy radiating from the user's body into the solid-state gel layer.
COOLING PAD; COOLING APPARATUS; COOLING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A COOLING PAD AND A COOLING APPARATUS
A cooling pad (10) for medical or veterinary applications, the cooling pad comprising a first heat exchanger (20); a second heat exchanger (30), a heat transfer fluid; a piping system (40); and an integrated pump device (50) for the heat transfer fluid; wherein the first heat exchanger (20) and the second heat exchanger (30) have the heat transfer fluid flowing through them; wherein the piping system (40) fluidically connects the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger; wherein the pump device (50) is adapted to cause an exchange of the heat transfer fluid between the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger; wherein the cooling pad (10) comprises a hermetically sealed fluid circuit for the heat transfer fluid, the fluid circuit comprising the first heat exchanger (20), the second heat exchanger (30), the piping system (40) and the pump device (50). Further, a corresponding cooling device (60), cooling system (1) and corresponding method (200) are proposed.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR THE TREATMENT OF CLOGGED GLANDS OF THE EYE
A heated eye mask for treating clogged glands of an eye includes a mask body. The mask body includes a first layer of surface material configured to be positioned away from an eye region of and a second layer of surface material configured to contact the eye region, a heating element disposed between the first and second layers of surface material in a therapeutic region of the mask body, and a thermally conductive material in contact with the heating element and disposed between the heating element and the second layer of surface material to evenly distribute heat across the therapeutic region of the mask body. The heated eye mask further includes an electrical cord configured to be coupled with a power source and in communication with the heating element and an adjustable strap to maintain contact of the mask body with the eye region of the user.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger, and method of manufacture of a heat exchanger configured to be placed into contact with an object to regulate the temperature of the object. The heat exchanger comprises a layer of material defining a passage through which a heat transfer fluid may flow. The material layer has a first side for contact with the object; and a second side which, in use, will face away from the object. The first side has a relatively high coefficient of thermal conduction. The second side has a relatively low coefficient of thermal conduction compared to the first side.
PATIENT WARMING APPARATUS
A patient warming apparatus having a central assembly and optionally extremity assemblies. The central assembly includes a heating body. The heating body comprises an inner heating fabric and an outer covering. The central assembly further includes a control module, a temperature sensor both attachable to a power supply. The extremity assemblies are attachable to the control module of the central assembly.
Selective brain cooling system
A selective brain cooling system for controlling the temperature of the brain of a patient, the system comprising a headliner and/or neck brace, and one or more thermoelectric cooling elements.
A WEARABLE COOLING APPARATUS FOR ON-SITE TREATMENT OF HEAT ILLNESS
A wearable cooling apparatus (2) comprising a pad (4), an inlet valve (6), a channel (8), and a thermally conductive membrane (10). The channel (8) is an open-sided recess formed in the surface of the pad (4) and the pad (4) is secured to the membrane (10) such that the open side of the channel (8) is covered by the membrane (10). The covered channel (8) forms a conduit (11) arranged between the pad (4) and the membrane (10), wherein the walls of the conduit (11) comprise the surface of the pad (4) and the surface of the membrane (10) and the inlet valve (6) is arranged in fluid communication with the conduit (11).
