THERMAL MODIFICATION TO TREAT CARDIAC ELECTRICAL DISORDERS AND OTHER DISORDERS
Devices and methods are provided for the treatment of pathological conditions including arrhythmias and trauma using temperature modulation via implantable or worn devices. For example, in one example embodiment this document relates to devices and methods for treating atrial or ventricular fibrillation by cooling the epicardium. The devices and methods can also be used to treat other disorders by applying heating and/or cooling to a patient in a number of different manners.
Simultaneous thermal and cooling therapeutic device
A therapeutic device combines both hot and cold therapy to work simultaneously together. The therapeutic device has a first portion being made of a material capable of being heated to a first temperature and a second portion having a fastener capable of connecting to a cold pack having a second temperature. The application of both hot and cold to the site of an injury of a user stimulates blood circulation to an injured muscle with heat and reduces inflammation with cold to facilitate a faster and more efficient recovery process of the afflicted area.
Managing patient body temperature using endovascular heat exchange in combination with body surface heat exchange
The present disclosure includes devices, systems and related methods useable for controlling a patient's body temperature by endovascular heat exchange as well as body surface heat exchange.
HEATING AND COOLING GARMENT SYSTEM
In one example, a heating and cooling garment system includes a garment, and a plurality of heating and cooling zones positioned within a portion of the garment. Each heating and cooling zone is configured to independently heat or cool based on heating and/or cooling instructions received from a mobile application executed on a wireless device.
Synergistic muscle activation device
Systems and methods of use for guiding the flow of energy through a subject to stimulate tissue.

Systems and methods for providing temperature-controlled therapy
Systems and methods provide air or gas-based temperature-controlled medical devices. The systems and methods may be applied to provide therapy to a patient suffering orthopedic or other injuries. Air or other gas is temperature-controlled and adjusted to meet a patient's physical needs and delivered the patient therapy site through a temperature regulated system including a therapeutic orthopedic wrap. Feedback mechanisms allow the caregiver or the patient to adjust the temperature of the gas. Other fluids may also be used. The systems and methods permit use of electrotherapy for enhanced therapy and injury recovery.
Temperature-controlled multi-zone mattress-style support
A system for adjusting the microclimate of a bed environment includes a multi-zone mattress-style support having individual heating zones, a heater for heating the individual heating zones, a cooler for cooling the multi-zone mattress-style support, and temperature sensors. The cooler includes the multi-zone mattress-style support at least one air duct with the multi-zone mattress-style support for transporting ambient air through the multi-zone mattress-style support.
SYNERGISTIC MUSCLE ACTIVATION DEVICE
Systems and methods of use for guiding the flow of energy through a subject to stimulate tissue.
DEVICES FOR DUAL MECHANISM AESTHETIC TREATMENT AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The systems and methods in accordance with the principles of the invention can promote correction of an aesthetic or functional defect in a target tissue. A method can include non-invasively applying a cooling agent to a surface of a target tissue; and cooling one or more tissue layers of said target tissue to a predetermined therapeutic temperature, wherein applying the cooling agent is performed such that cryoablation of said one or more layers of the target tissue does not occur. The system can include: a controller and a probe having a distal end configured for non-invasive contact with a surface of a target tissue to cool the target tissue based on treatment parameters.
