The fluid-absorbent article includes (A) an upper liquid-pervious sheet, (B) a lower liquid-impervious sheet, (C) a fluid-absorbent core including from 60 to 20% by weight fibrous material and from 40 to 80% by weight of at least a first type of water-absorbent polymer particles, (G) and at least a second type of water-absorbent polymer particles (H) based on the sum of water-absorbent polymer particles and fibrous material, (D) an optional acquisition-distribution layer (D) between (A) and (C), (F) other optional components, wherein the first type of water absorbent polymer particles (G) of the fluid-absorbent core (C) have a SFC of at least 2010.sup.7 cm.sup.3.Math.s/g, and wherein the at least second type of water-absorbent polymer particles (H) of the fluid-absorbent core have a sphericity of at least 0.80.
ABSORBENT BODY WITH COMPOSITE ISOLATION SHEET
Disclosed is an absorbent body for an absorbent article comprising 1) a water permeable topsheet; 2) a water impermeable backsheet; 3) an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and 4) a composite isolation sheet bonded to the wearer facing side of the topsheet.
WATER ABSORPTION TREATMENT MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Provided are a water absorption treatment material with excellent water disintegrability and a method for manufacturing the water absorption treatment material. A water absorption treatment material is a water absorption treatment material that absorbs a liquid, and includes a granule. The granule contains a foaming agent. Upon the water absorption treatment material absorbing a liquid, gas bubbles are produced in the granule as a result of a reaction of the foaming agent, and the granule collapses.
WATER ABSORPTION TREATMENT MATERIAL
The present invention provides a water absorption treatment material that has a structure suitable for obtaining a high level of water disintegrability. A water absorption treatment material is a water absorption treatment material that absorbs a liquid, and includes a granular core portion and a coating layer portion. The granular core portion has a granular shape. The granular core portion contains a first water-absorbent polymer. The coating layer portion covers the granular core portion. The coating layer portion contains a second water-absorbent polymer. The second water-absorbent polymer has a mean particle size smaller than the mean particle size of the first water-absorbent polymer.
ABSORBENT MATERIAL, AND SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A fiber-SAP particle includes a superabsorbent core particle (SAP core particle) and a plurality of fibers attached to the SAP core particle and extending therefrom. The fiber-SAP particles may be formed in a fluidized bed chamber using a spray drying process. The fiber-SAP particles may be incorporated into absorbent cores and articles, such as in disposable diapers.
INCONTINENCE DETECTION PAD WITH USER ADJUSTABLE SENSITIVITY
A disposable incontinence detection system monitors an area for incontinence events. The incontinence detection system includes a substrate having a length and a width defining a monitoring area. Additionally, the incontinence detection system includes a moisture sensor positioned within the monitoring area. The moisture sensor includes a circuit that includes traces spaced apart from each other such that the presence of moisture bridging a space between at least two of the traces will close the circuit. Additionally, the circuit includes a removable conductor coupled to one of the traces such that removal of the conductor irreversibly prevents the trace from closing the circuit. The moisture sensor is configured to determine whether the circuit has been closed.
