METHOD FOR PRODUCING ABSORBENT ARTICLES COMPRISING WATER-ABSORBING RESIN
Provided is a method for producing an absorbent article comprising a water-absorbing resin having an excellent initial water absorption speed under load even substantially without adding a liquid permeability enhancer.
The method steps for producing the water-absorbing resin includes the step of polymerizing a monomer while adding certain polyalkylene glycol thereto so as to generate, during or after the polymerization, a crosslinked hydrogel polymer containing the polyalkylene glycol of a specific molecular weight, wherein the crosslinked hydrogel polymer has a centrifuge retention capacity within a given range and a final water-absorbing resin to be obtained has various physical properties (CRC, AAP, SFC, FSR) being within given ranges.
Absorbent articles containing a multifunctional gel
Improved skin-adhesive compositions for bonding a substrate, such as an absorbent article, to skin are disclosed. More particularly, the skin-adhesive composition has an improved, yet gentle, adhesion to the skin of a user, while maintaining strong, effective bonding to various inanimate, non-skin substrates. In one embodiment, the skin-adhesive composition can provide one or more skin benefit agents to the user. The skin-adhesive composition may be applied to an absorbent article, such as a panty-liner, sanitary napkin, or an incontinence article, for directly adhering the article to the skin of a user.
CROSSLINKING CELLULOSE WITH GLYOXAL TO IMPROVE ABSORPTION PROPERTIES
The present invention is directed to a novel dialdehyde based reagent that is neutralized, wherein the preparation of the reagent includes the steps of provide a dialdehyde; provide a caustic soda; mix both reagents until pH of the dialdehyde is 5.5 to 7.5; and stir the mixture.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES
The present invention relates to a thin, flexible absorbent articles comprising an acquisition-distribution system comprises a first component comprising first thermoplastic fibers and cellulose fibers, the cellulose fibers being less than about 90% by weight of the first component, wherein the absorbent article has an absorption time lower than about 7 sec/g up to a loading range of 100 g, as measured according to Modified Fluid Modified Fluid Acquisition Test; and wherein the absorbent article has a caliper of lower than about 2.5 mm under about 400 g pressure at 2 cm.sup.2, as measured according to Caliper Test, or a 3-point bending force lower than about 95 g, as measured according to the 3-Point Bending Force Test.
ABSORBENT STRUCTURE COMPRISING RELEASE STRUCTURE
An absorbent article comprising a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, and an absorbent structure positioned in between said topsheet and said backsheet, wherein the absorbent structure comprises an absorbent core positioned in between the topsheet and the backsheet, a release structure being positioned in fluid communication with the absorbent core, said absorbent core comprising little to no cellulose fibers and/or fluff pulp and said absorbent core comprising an absorbent polymer material for absorbing and permanently holding fluids received from the topsheet and the release structure, wherein said release structure comprises at least one fibrous substrate structure having the capacity to receive and temporarily hold the fluids in proximity to the absorbent core so that the fluids can subsequently be transferred and released to and absorbed by the absorbent core.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
Disclosed is an absorbent article including an absorbent including water-absorbing resin particles, wherein the water-absorbing resin particles satisfy the following requirements (a), (b), and (c). (a) A release restoration rate represented by Formula (1) is 5% or more.
(k.sub.2k.sub.1)/k.sub.1100(%) (1) (b) A water absorption rate measured by a vortex method is 5 seconds or less. (c) A retention capacity of physiological saline is 15 to 39 g/g.
ERGONOMIC DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT GARMENT WITH ABSORBENT CORE ASSEMBLY
A disposable undergarment is disclosed. The undergarment includes a chassis and an absorbent core assembly. The chassis includes a front section, a crotch section and a rear section and elastic threads in those sections. The absorbent core is located in the crotch section, with portions of it extending into the front and rear sections. The core assembly includes a first or upper section of including plural pockets of a free slow acting but high absorbency SAP, and a second or underlying second section including plural pockets of a free fast acting by lower absorbency SAP. The SAP of the upper and lower sections exhibits various characteristics to facilitate to effective and efficient absorption of a fluid insult into the core assembly.
