ASPJ Pull-On's
The present invention is a disposable brief made of absorbent material with small amount of cellulose for good absorbance. The material has elasticity for comfort on the skin and stretch ability. The said invention was designed for full coverage to prevent any leakage from the anterior and posterior of the perinium. Velcro fastening on the lateral sides for easy removal and applying if needed. The said invention has a pocket in the front and back of the disposable material brief for the insertion of FDA approved Urine test strips for the anterior and FDA approved Guaiac paper that can be inserted in the posterior part of the brief. The brief was designed to be a funnel for testing material for early detection of urinary tract infections and gastrointestinal bleeding. Urine test strips and Guaiac paper purchased separately.
Device For Detecting A Medical Condition Of A Subject And Method For Manufacturing Thereof
The present invention relates to a device for detecting a medical condition of a subject from a menstrual blood collected from said subject. The device comprises a sampling member comprising one or more polymeric materials, the sampling member, when arranged to be in contact with the menstrual blood, collects constituent biomolecules of the menstrual blood at the polymeric materials; and a positioning member comprising an absorbing material, the positioning member being configured to support the sampling member; wherein the positioning member is releasably attachable to a sanitary product wearable by the subject.
Dermal Patch for Collecting a Physiological Sample
A dermal patch for collecting a physiological sample includes a housing with a collection chamber, a sample channel and a pin within a receptacle of the housing. The sample channel is configured to direct a physiological sample drawn from a subject to the collection chamber. The pin is removably positioned within the receptacle and is configured to move from an undeployed position to a deployed position. The pin is configured to seal the receptacle when in the undeployed position and is further configured to facilitate generation of negative pressure in the sample channel when the pin is moved from the undeployed to the deployed position.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND PROMOTING PATIENT MOBILITY
A method is provided which includes providing a sensor operable to measure movement over time on a user. The sensor includes an alert unit. The sensor is configured with a threshold to activate the alert unit when the measured movement over time is below the threshold. The measurements of movement over time are obtained, and it is determined whether the measured movement over time is below the threshold. When the measured movement is below the threshold, the alert unit at the sensor is activated to alert the user.
POLYMER MATERIALS
Polyurethane material for indicating pH at a locus, preferably as indication of presence of microbes, comprising a polyurethane network having immobilised therein one or more hydrophilic copolymers, the or each said copolymer comprising:
hydrophilic monomer; and
indicating monomer, which provides an indication in response to a change in hydrophilic state of said hydrophilic monomer and/or copolymer;
characterised in that the or each copolymer further comprises one or a plurality of ionisable groups or moieties or polymerisable monomers having one or more characteristic pKa values in the range 5 to 10 and which are responsive to pH at the locus in the range pH 5 to pH 10
and in that hydrophilic state of hydrophilic copolymer is dependent on ionisation of said ionisable groups, moieties or monomers; kit and device comprising the material and process for preparation thereof; and use in detecting or sensing microbes or pH.
WOUND TREATMENT MANAGEMENT USING AUGMENTED REALITY OVERLAY
At least a method is disclosed for visualizing sensor data from a sensor monitoring a wound. The method can include: receiving senor data generated by one or more sensors monitoring a wound of a patient, the wound being covered with a wound dressing; generating a graphical representation from the sensor data; and presenting the graphical representation to a user via augmented reality so that the graphical representation is overlaid on an area proximate to the patient from a viewing perspective of the user.
Flexible Means For Determining The Extent Of Debridement Required To Remove Non-Viable Tissue
A flexible dressing for applying to a tissue site for determining the extent of debridement required to remove non-viable tissue is disclosed. Some embodiments of the dressing may be in the form of a multi-layer drape having an integrated tissue viability indicator system. Some embodiments may also include a system of shapes or a grid pattern printed or embossed on a surface of the drape for providing guidance during an ensuing debridement or amputation procedure.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR NON-INVASIVE ANALYSIS OF BODILY FLUIDS
A vaginal fluid monitoring device includes an absorbent layer, wherein the absorbent layer is configured to be in proximity to flow of vaginal fluid; an electrochemical detection system configured to obtain data regarding at least one analyte in a vaginal fluid, said electrochemical detection system in fluid communication with the absorbent layer; and wherein the vaginal fluid monitoring device is configured to be coupled with a feminine hygiene product.
Configurable absorbent articles having improved bodily exudate separation and sampling
Configurable absorbent articles with improved bodily exudate separation and sampling are provided.
Composite sensor fibres and applications therefor
A composite sensor fiber comprising a filamentary core (12) and an outer layer (30) encapsulating an intermediate sensor layer (20) of a detectably thermoresponsive material. Also disclosed are a method of making composite sensor fibers, a dressing comprising a fabric having a matrix of the fibers, and a method of monitoring a wound that utilizes the dressing.
