CLAVICLE FRACTURE INFANT BRACE
The present disclosure describes an infant brace for treating an infant with a fractured clavicle. The infant brace includes a torso portion for receiving the donning infant's torso, and an arm portion for receiving the donning infant's arm on the side coinciding with the fractured clavicle. The infant brace is formed from an elastic netting material. The infant brace provides effective immobilization of the infant's affected upper arm while minimizing risks of over-heating or causing pressure sores.
TUBE SUPPORT
A support for supporting a portion, external to a patient, of a tube partly embedded in the patient. The support includes a torso embracing portion for embracing a torso of the patient. The support also includes one or more tube holding portions for holding the tube. The tube holding portion(s) are fixable to, or part of, the torso holding portion.
SLEEP SACK FOR INFANT CALMING/SLEEP AID
An infant calming/sleep-aid device is provided that includes a sleep sack into which an infant can be placed, the sleep sack having an upper portion and a lower portion, the upper portion adapted to enclose the infant's torso and arms, the lower portion adapted to enclose the infant's hips, legs, and feet, wherein the upper portion of the sleep sack is wider than the lower portion to allow for infant to be swaddled while wearing a sleeper garment.
RESTRAINT FOR SECURING A PERSON TO AN OBJECT, AND A CUT-RESISTANT WEBBING
A non-injurious restraint for securing a person to an object comprising a flexible strap comprised of, or including a substantially cut-resistant webbing associated with a strip of steel interlinked rings and reinforcement cables. A locking mechanism including one or more projections or pins adapted to engage the interlinked rings in forming a fixed length loop. The strap adapted to be secured to the object with the loop adjusted to encircle the limb, and wherein the locking mechanism locks the length of the loop. A webbing for use in such restraints.
Blood filtration systems
A blood filtration system can reduce the amount of plasma constituents (e.g., water and/or electrolytes) in the blood of the patient, and accordingly increase the hematocrit value of the patient. The blood filtration system (e.g., a controller, or the like) can determine a hematocrit value of a patient. The blood filtration system can determine a venous pressure of vasculature of a patient. The blood filtration system can compensate for pressure head in a component of a blood circuit (e.g., a withdrawal line of a catheter), for example to improve the accuracy of the venous pressure determination. The blood filtration system can determine one or more resistance characteristics of a blood circuit for the blood filtration system. The resistance characteristics can correspond to a resistance to a flow of blood through a component of the blood circuit.
SELF-WRAPPING SAFETY DEVICE FOR THE PHYSICAL RESTRAINT OF A PERSON
A self-wrapping safety device for the physical restraint of a person, including a main body, provided with a first and second end and configured to get in contact with a person, at least one self-wrapping strip, coupled to the main body, provided with a first and a second end, the main body and at least one self-wrapping strip configured to each other so as to move both from a first position, where the first and second end of the main body are arranged opposite to each other and coplanar and the first and second end of the at least one self-wrapping strip are arranged opposite to each other and coplanar, to a second position, where the self-wrapping strip and the main body are arranged wrapped and rolled up on themselves or around the person.
Extended introducer for left radial access
An introducer extension with an extended, gradually curved section outside of the body enables a clinician to use an access site positioned across the body of that patient. An optional flexible or extendable section of the introducer extension allows a clinician to customize the shape of the introducer extension to a particular patient or clinician preference. The introducer extension includes a tubular sidewall extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal end of the introducer extension to a distal end of the introducer extension and defining a lumen extending along the longitudinal axis. The tubular sidewall is configured to define a curved configuration having at least one curve between the proximal end and the distal end. The distal end is configured to couple to an introducer sheath. The lumen is configured to allow passage of a medical device.
Bi-Wing Arm Support System
An apparatus for moving a patient on a pad and holding the pad in place on a surgical table. An upper member and a lower member having wings extending from opposite sides are configured and arranged to secure the position of the arms. In this position the arm has been securely wrapped without use of the patient's body weight, and the arm can be easily unwrapped by reversing the steps above, without the necessity of repositioning the patient (to get their body weight off of the device or a draw sheet), for access to the arm during the surgical procedure. Access may be necessary for anesthesia monitoring lines, invasive arterial lines, non-invasive blood pressure cuffs, SPO2 finger probes, and intravenous lines needed for medications and fluid delivery.
ARM IMMOBILIZING SLEEP GARMENT DEVICE
An arm immobilizing sleep garment device a vest having a chest, a neck, and a back. A mating panel is coupled to the chest of the vest. A glove has a palm and a plurality of finger sleeves such that the glove is configured for being worn on a hand. A mating piece is coupled to the glove and is complementary to the mating panel such that abutting the mating piece to the mating panel engages the glove to the vest. Thus, the glove and vest immobilize an arm extending from the hand in the glove.
