HEAT CONTROL DEVICE FOR AN INCUBATOR FOR INFANTS, INCUBATOR AND METHOD FOR THE HEAT CONTROL OF AN INCUBATOR
An infant incubator heat control device includes a temperature-detecting device providing chamber interior and incubator heater temperature measured values. A first mode of operation has an interior temperature set value, a temperature of the heater set value is calculated as a function of the interior temperature set value and of the chamber interior temperature measured value. A controlled variable is calculated for the heater as a function of the temperature of the heater set value and of the heater measured value. A second mode of operation calculates a temperature of the heater set value independently of the chamber interior temperature measured value. A controlled variable is calculated for the heater as a function of the set value for the temperature of the heater and of the heater temperature measured value.

Systems and methods for magnetic resonance imaging of infants
According to some aspects, a system configured to facilitate imaging an infant using a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device is provided herein. The system comprises an infant-carrying apparatus comprising an infant support configured to support the infant and an isolette for positioning the infant relative to the MRI device, the isolette comprising: a base for supporting the infant-carrying apparatus; and a bottom surface configured to be coupled to the MRI device. In some embodiments, the infant-carrying apparatus further comprises at least one radio frequency (RF) coil coupled to the infant support and configured to be coupled to the MRI device to detect MR signals during imaging performed by the MRI device. A method for positioning an infant relative to an MRI device using an infant-carrying apparatus and isolette is further provided herein.
INCUBATOR FOR THE TRANSPORT OF HIGH-RISK INFANTS
A transport incubator comprising a support structure comprising a base, provided with at least one first guide, a housing structure, coupled with said supporting structure, comprising a first portion having at least one first side panel slidably coupled with said first guide of said base, and a second portion, laterally delimited by at least one first side wall, on which at least said first panel of said first portion slides.
MICRO-ENVIRONMENT MODULE ARCHITECTURE FOR INFANT CARE DEVICES
An infant care station that includes multiple operational modules that communicate with each other to carry out the infant care station functions. The multiple modules form part of a micro-environmental platform that allows for communication and power connections between all of the operational components required within the infant care station. The multiple modules communicate with each other utilizing a universal interface bus that includes power connections, communication connections and control connections between the multiple modules. Sensor data obtained by various sensors is stored using a standard data format. A data repository is included in one of the modules and is used to store sensor data obtained from the infant patient, operational protocols and other information needed to operate the infant care station. The data repository provides a central location for both data producers and data subscribers that are part of the micro-environment platform.
ADVANCED MRI INCUBATOR HYBRID SYSTEM FOR SAFE INFANT IMAGING
An incubator includes a patient compartment, a support structure, a patient table coupled to the support structure, an RF coil selectively coupled to the support structure, the RF coil including a receiver arranged along a peripheral edge of the RF coil, and a hood selectively coupled to one of the support structure or the patient table and configured to engage the receiver. When the hood is engaged with the receiver a volume of the hood and a volume of the RF coil merge together.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF TREATMENT FOR PREMATURE FETUS
A system configured to enclose a premature fetus within an extracorporeal environment to promote growth of the fetus and increase viability of the fetus, The system includes a chamber having an interior space configured to enclose the fetus, a first fluid circuit that delivers sterile fluid to the chamber, and a second fluid system that transfers oxygen to the fetus. The system chamber includes a stop mechanism including a clamp and an actuator, the clanip positioned in the interior space, the actuator coupled to the clamp such that movement of the actuator moves the clamp, and the actuator positioned at least partially outside the interior space. A method of using the system to treat hyperbilirubinemia is also provided.
