PILLOW SYSTEM
A pillow system for use by a user laying on their back, such as for use after a mastectomy or other surgery. The pillow system provides a cushioning and supportive system. In one particular implementation, the pillow system has two elongate side pillows for placing under and extending from at least a user's shoulders to the user's knees. The two side pillows have an inner edge that includes two concave regions, thus when the two pillows are placed next to or alongside each other, two generally void areas are formed. The pillow system may include a head pillow and/or a support pillow(s), such as a wedge-shaped pillow.
Examination table
An examination table that can be used in other places than a hospital is provided. A portable examination table comprises a seat part for supporting a bottom of a patient, an angle-changeable backrest part for supporting a back of the patient, a pair of angle-changeable arm parts, abutting parts configured to be raised or lowered when the angle of the arm parts relative to the seat part is changed and abut the back of the knees of the patient, and link parts configured to link the arm parts to the backrest part and change the angle of the arm parts, and is configured to convert between an end-sitting positioning state, a lithotomy positioning state, and a folded state.
Support Platform For Body Treatment
A support platform for body treatment is provided and includes a supporting frame, a resilient pad, a guide passageway, a cushion and a control assembly. The resilient pad is secured to the supporting frame and includes an upper surface positioned opposite the supporting frame. The guide passageway extends from the upper surface and through the resilient pad toward the supporting frame. The cushion includes a lower surface side and is connected to control assembly so that it vertically positions the lower surface side along the guide passageway.
FLUID COLLECTION DEVICE
Aspects of the present disclosure provide a fluid collection device including a rigid or semi-rigid structure having a wedge-shaped leading edge to fit under a patient's buttocks while the patent is supine. At least one receptacle is provided in the structure to receive fluid discharged by the patient. A measurement apparatus associated with the at least one receptacle indicates a threshold volume of fluid collected by the fluid collection device.
Cushion for Use After a Breast Operation
The invention relates to a cushion for use when lying in a prone position after breast surgery, the cushion (10) having a base body (12) with a recess (14). The underlying object of the present invention is to provide a cushion which can be used after breast surgery for lying or sleeping in a prone position and which also offers a high degree of lying comfort and protection for the operated breast.
For this purpose, the base body (12) is formed of two layers and has a first harder layer (36) of foamed plastic and a second softer layer (38) of a viscoelastic material.
System for absorbing sweat from within a skinfold of a patient
A tissue retraction system that allows aeration in a skinfold of a patient needing medical attention may include a flexible frame having a defined body shape comprising an internal facing surface configured to face a crease in the skinfold, an external facing surface opposite the internal facing surface configured to face outwardly and away from the patient, a first tissue facing surface, and a second tissue facing surface opposing the first tissue facing surface. Each of the first and the second tissue facing surfaces may be configured to engage against opposing sides of the skinfold.
Comfort Therapy
The present invention is a therapeutic pad with breast receiving cavities. The therapeutic pad with breast receiving cavities contains a platform, a cavity, and an adjustment element. The cavity traverses into the platform. The adjustment element is positioned within the cavity. The therapeutic pad with breast receiving cavities may take the form of a therapy device to replace surgical table padding, chiropractic dorsal pads, or other various therapeutic treatment table paddings to accommodate humans with breasts or additional curvature in the breast area. The therapeutic pad with breast receiving cavities constitutes specialized padding with breast recess areas to provide maximum comfort by allowing patients to control the pressure in the breast area when receiving therapeutic care or medical procedures.
Urine bottle
A disposable urine bottle, having a front end for presentation to a user comprises a base wall, an enclosing wall extending upwardly from the base wall, a urine receiving volume defined by the base wall and the enclosing wall, and an aperture located above the base wall and which is upwardly and forwardly concave when viewed from the side. The lowermost portion of the aperture is also parallel to the base wall. The enclosing wall has a portion which overhangs the base wall at the front end of the bottle. The aperture is elongate in plan view and the enclosing wall extends outwardly from the sides and front end of the aperture. The maximum width of the aperture is at least half the maximum width of the base wall, and the enclosing wall is formed into a handle portion at one end of the bottle.
