Modular Dispenser for Single Objects

A modular dispenser includes a cartridge configured to hold a plurality of pills. The cartridge includes an opening through which the at least one pill is configured to pass under an influence of gravity. A dispensing base is configured to removably receive the cartridge. The dispensing base includes a funnel with a funnel inlet proximate the opening of the cartridge and a funnel outlet spaced apart from the funnel inlet. A dispensing assembly is rotatably coupled to the dispensing base. The dispensing base also includes a catch configured to receive the at least one pill when the catch is proximate the funnel outlet and rotate away from the funnel outlet to a position from which the at least one pill is retrievable by a user.

The invention also provides a multi-dosage form container, comprising an advanceable multi-sectioned dosage form holder, comprising a series of access portals sized to accommodate pass-through of at least one dosage form contained within said multi-sectioned dosage form holder proximally therethrough upon alignment with an appropriate egress structure, optionally wherein said multi-sectioned dosage form holder accommodates upright positioning of said dosage forms such that said egress structure provides for lateral displacement of said at least one dosage form; and a lockable outer container, comprising a tamper proof casing within which the multi-sectioned dosage form holder is contained. Kits containing the blister pack dosage form container and multi-dosage form containers are also described.

The camera stand may include an adjustable support positionable in a plurality of positions to dispose the camera and light source relative to the medical dose preparation staging region. The work stations may facilitate improved image quality and record work flows carried out at the work station for preparation verification.

UNIT DOSE DISPENSING MECHANISMS

Mechanisms for dispensing items such as medications and medical supplies. Different mechanisms may be tailored to dispensing different kinds of items, for example medications in single dose packages, vials, syringes, or other similarly-shaped items. The dispensers may be placed in a dispensing unit that includes a lockable restock drawer and a dispense drawer into which items are dispensed by the dispensing mechanisms. The various kinds of dispensing mechanisms may be installed in the restock drawer in any workable proportion and arrangement.
