Affinity illudofulvene conjugates
In an embodiment of the invention, a composition for treating a cell population comprises a medicant. The medicant moiety can be an illudofulvene analog. In an embodiment of the invention, a composition for treating a cell population comprises an Affinity Medicant Conjugate (AMC). The affinity moiety can be an antibody, an antibody fragment, a receptor protein, a peptidic growth factor, an anti-angiogenic protein, a specific binding peptide, protease cleavable peptide, a glycopeptide, a peptide, a peptidic toxin, a protein toxin and an oligonucleotide. The affinity moiety can be covalently bound to the medicant via a linker.

Methods and Compositions for Preserving the Viability of Photoreceptor Cells
Provided are methods and compositions for maintaining the viability of photoreceptor cells following retinal detachment. The viability of photoreceptor cells can be preserved by administering an apoptosis inhibitor to a mammal having an eye with retinal detachment. The apoptosis inhibitor maintains the viability of the photoreceptor cells until such time that the retina becomes reattached to the underlying retinal pigment epithelium and choroid. The treatment minimizes the loss of vision, which otherwise may occur as a result of retinal detachment.

ANTI-MICROBIAL PEPTIDES AND USES OF SAME
A method of treating a bacterial infection in a subject is disclosed. The method comprises administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide being between 3 and 5 amino acids, wherein at least one amino acid of the 3 and 5 amino acids is selected from the group consisting of tryptophan, cysteine, proline and methionine.

PEPTIDE SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR METABOLIC CONDITIONS
The present invention generally relates to compositions and methods for topical or transdermal delivery, and treatment of metabolic conditions. In some cases, the composition may include nitric oxide and/or peptides such as thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) and/or GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone). The nitric oxide and/or peptide may be present within a first phase comprising a lecithin, such as phosphatidylcholine. In certain embodiments, the lecithin is present in liposomes, micelles, or other structures containing nitric oxide, peptides, or both. The composition can take the form of a gel, a cream, a lotion, an ointment, a solution, a solid “stick,” etc., that can be rubbed or sprayed onto the skin. Other aspects of the present invention are generally directed to methods of making or using such compositions, methods of promoting such compositions, kits including such compositions, or the like.
PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF ITCH WITH AN MRGPR ANTAGONIST
Embodiments described herein relates to compositions and methods of preventing and/or treating itch in a subject using a therapeutically effective amount of a MRG receptor antagonist. e.g., a tripeptide QWF. In one embodiment, the itch is a non-histamine mediated itch.
