The present disclosure relates to an aqueous dental glass ionomer composition comprising a reactive particulate glass, a water-soluble, polymerizable polymer which is reactive with the particulate glass in a cement reaction, a hydrolysis-stable, water-soluble monomer having a single polymerizable double bond and optionally a carboxylic acid group or hydroxyl group; and a polymerization initiator system, wherein the polymerizable polymer is obtainable by a process comprising a step of polymerizing a mixture comprising a first polymerizable monomer comprising at least one optionally protected carboxylic acid group and a first polymerizable organic moiety, and optionally a second copolymerizable monomer comprising one or more optionally protected primary and/or secondary hydroxyl and/or amino group(s) and a second polymerizable organic moiety, for obtaining an water-soluble polymer; a step of coupling to the water-soluble polymer a compound having a olymerizable moiety and a functional group reactive with an optionally protected carboxylic acid group of repeating units derived from the first polymerizable monomer or an optionally protected hydroxyl and/or amino group of repeating units derived from the second copolymerizable monomer in the water-soluble polymer obtained in step a), wherein the optionally protected carboxylic acid group and the optionally protected hydroxyl and/or amine group are deprotected, so that polymerizable pendant groups are linked to the backbone by ester groups, urethane groups and/or amide groups, and, optionally, a step of deprotecting the protected carboxylic acid group for obtaining a polymerizable polymer.

The present invention relates to a dental adhesive kit including a primer and a bonding material. The primer includes an acid group-containing monomer, a hydrophilic monomer, and water, and the bonding material includes a hydrophilic monomer (B-1), an aromatic bifunctional monomer (B-2), an aliphatic bifunctional monomer (B-3), α-diketone (B-4), (bis)acylphosphine oxide (B-5), and a benzotriazole compound (B-6) as defined in the description. The content of (B-4) is 0.6 to 2 parts by weight per part by weight of (B-5), and the content of (B-6) is 0.01 to 3 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of (B-3).

The present invention relates to a dental polymerizable composition including a (meth)acrylic block copolymer (A), a polymerizable monomer (B), and a polymerization initiator (C). The (meth)acrylic block copolymer (A) consists of a (meth)acrylic polymer block (a) having a curable functional group and a (meth)acrylic polymer block (b) having no curable functional group. The invention relates to a dental composition comprising filler (F1) comprising aggregated nano-sized particles in an amount of from about 30 to about 70 wt. %, filler (F2) comprising agglomerated nano-sized particles in an amount from about 1 to about 20 wt. %, hardenable component (A1) being an urethane(meth)acrylate with a functionality of at least 2 and having a molecular weight from about 400 to about 3,000 g/mol,-hardenable component (A2) being a radically polymerizable (meth)acrylate with a functionality of at least 2 being different from component (A1), redox curing initiator system, the dental composition not comprising non-agglomerated nano-sized filler in an amount above about 10 wt. %, wt. % with respect to the weight of the whole composition. The dental composition is in particular useful as or for production of permanent crown and bridges, inlays, onlays and veneers.
