Metallic luster pigments
The present invention relates to metallic luster pigments, to a process for production thereof and to the use of such metallic luster pigments.
NEAR-INFRARED-SHIELDING MATERIAL
A new material efficiently attenuating transmission of near-infrared light is provided. A provided near-infrared-shielding material includes a plurality of flaky particles, wherein each of the plurality of flaky particles includes a flaky substrate and a single-layer film formed on a principal surface of the flaky substrate, and the near-infrared-shielding material has a light reflectance of 40% or more between wavelengths of 800 nm and 1400 nm. The flaky substrate is, for example, a glass flake. The glass flake has an average thickness of, for example, 0.6 pm or less. The single-layer film includes, for example, titanium oxide and has an average thickness of, for example, 80 nm to 165 nm.
COMPOSITE PARTICLE AND PREPARATION THEREOF
The present invention relates to a composite particle comprising: at least one hydrophilic core particle; and a plurality of hydrophobic particles, wherein the surface of the hydrophilic core particle is substantially discontinuously covered by the hydrophobic particles. The novel composite particle according to the present invention can have surface active properties sufficient to prepare stable Pickering emulsions, and can maintain the surface active properties over a long period of time. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing the above composite particle.
Red-coloured decorative pigments with high chroma and high brilliancy, method for their production and use of same
The present invention relates to red effect pigments including a nonmetallic substrate in platelet form and a coating applied thereto, wherein the coating includes at least one of metal oxide, metal hydroxide or metal oxide hydrate, the metal ions of the metal oxide, metal hydroxide and/or metal oxide hydrate comprise at least two different metal ions selected from the group of metals consisting of Fe, Sn, Ti and Zr, and to a process for production thereof and to the use of the red effect pigments.
METHOD FOR DYEING KERATINOUS MATERIAL, COMPRISING THE USE OF AN ORGANOSILICON COMPOUND, AN EFFECT PIGMENT AND A FILM-FORMING POLYMER II
The subject of the present disclosure is a process for dyeing keratinous material, in particular human hair, comprising the following steps: application of an agent (a) to the keratinous material, the agent (a) comprising at least one organic silicon compound, and Application of an agent (b) to the keratinous material, wherein the agent (b) comprises: (b1) at least one colorant compound comprising at least one lenticular substrate platelet-based pigment, and (b2) at least one film-forming polymer.
The application also discloses a multi-component packaging unit which contains the two agents (a) and (b) in two separately packaged containers.
Interference pigment, and cosmetic preparation, coating material, ink, and resin composition each containing same
The present invention provides an interference pigment that develops interference colors even on light-colored bases. An interference pigment 1 of the present invention includes: a flaky inorganic substrate 10; a transparent metal layer 20 that coats the inorganic substrate 10; and a metal oxide layer 30 that coats the metal layer 20.
SUNSCREEN COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed are compositions which are suitable for use as sunscreen lotions and creams. The compositions have organic filters and special effects pigments, providing both sun protection and aesthetically pleasing visual effects to the skin. The compositions may also be formulated to form high oil load emulsions that exhibit both a quick-break effect, as well as physical stability at different temperature levels. Methods of manufacturing and using such compositions are also disclosed.
PIGMENT SUSPENSION AND COSMETIC AGENT PREPARED USING THE PIGMENT SUSPENSION
The application describes a pigment suspension comprising a) at least one colorant compound selected from the group of pigments and b) at least one phosphoric acid ester. The application also discloses a cosmetic agent obtainable by combining the pigment suspension with one or more organic C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkoxysilanes and/or condensation products thereof.
Effect pigments
The present invention relates to effect pigments which are based on flake-form substrates having a circular form factor of 1.2-2 and are coated with at least one high-refractive-index layer, and to the use thereof, inter alia in paints, coatings, printing inks, plastics and in cosmetic formulations.
Interference pigments
The present invention relates to interference pigments based on platelet-shaped substrates which are coated with at least four high refractive layers and to the use thereof, inter alia in paints, coatings, printings inks, plastics and in particular in cosmetic formulations. The interference pigments show a moderate chroma and can be used as effect pigments, as filler pigments and as protection agent against near infrared radiation, VIS and high energy light.
