COSMETIC COMPOSITION
The present disclosure relates to cosmetic compositions that do not contain triethanolamine, and methods for preparing the same. The compositions of the present disclosure comprise a wax-in-water emulsion and a water-in-oil co-emulsifier, the combination of which produces compositions with similar texture, consistency, and/or feel to those obtained using triethanolamine.
MULTIPLE EMULSIONS COMPRISING RIGIDIFIED PORTIONS
The present invention generally relates to microfluidic droplets and, in particular, to multiple emulsion microfluidic droplets. In one set of embodiments, multiple emulsion droplets are provided, where an inner shell of the droplet is relatively thin, compared to the outer shell (or other shells) of the droplet. For instance, in one set of embodiments, the inner droplet has an average thickness of less than about 1000 nm. In some cases, the inner shell may be rigidified, e.g., to form a gel or a polymeric layer. This may be useful, for example, for preventing coalescence of fluids within the microfluidic droplet. Other embodiments of the present invention are generally directed to methods of making such droplets, methods of using such droplets, microfluidic devices for making such droplets, and the like.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION IN MULTIPLE EMULSION FORMULATION
The present specification describes a cosmetic composition comprising a multiple emulsion formulation, comprising: droplets including an inner phase and an outer phase; and an outermost phase. The cosmetic composition of the present invention may provide excellent formulation stability due to the distribution of the droplets very close to the outermost phase.
Hair Growth Compositions
The present application provides hair growth compositions, and more particularly compositions comprising Portulaca Oleracea, or an extract thereof, which may be useful in methods of treating hair loss and/or restoring hair color in a subject. Methods of treating hair loss and kits comprising the compositions are also provided.
Dual-function starch-based composite nanoparticles as well as preparation method and application thereof
The present application discloses dual-function starch-based composite nanoparticles as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The preparation method comprises: hydrolyzing starch to form linear dextrin, grading the linear dextrin by using an alcohol-alcohol gradient precipitation method to obtain linear dextrin having homogeneous molecular weight distribution; oxidizing the linear dextrin by adopting an oxidation system to obtain oxidized dextrin; carrying out complex reaction on the oxidized dextrin and curcumin to form an oxidized dextrin-curcumin complex; and forming an oxidized dextrin-curcumin/chitosan hydrochloride composite nanoparticles from the oxidized dextrin-curcumin complex and chitosan hydrochloride. The aqueous phase solution of the dual-function starch-based composite nanoparticles containing gel polysaccharide is uniformly mixed with primary emulsion, calcium ion induction is carried out on the obtained double emulsion to obtain double-emulsion gel.
Emulsified cosmetic
The present invention provides an emulsified cosmetic, including: an anionic acryl silicone copolymer (A) having an acryl chain as the main chain, the copolymer including, as monomer units, (I) 1 to 30% by mass of a polymerizable hydrophilic monomer having carboxylic acid, phosphoric acid, or sulfonic acid neutralized with a base, and (II) 10% by mass or more of a silicone macromonomer represented by the following general formula (1), or a silicone dendron group-containing polymerizable monomer; an oil material (B); and water (C). Accordingly, the present invention provides an emulsified cosmetic having excellent emulsification stability and non-stickiness. ##STR00001##
MULTIPLE EMULSION COMPRISING AN OIL CONTINUOUS NANOEMULSION AND A METHOD FOR USING THE SAME
Multiple emulsions comprising an internal phase which is an oil continuous nanoemulsion are described. The multiple emulsions are water continuous, stable, provide moisturizing benefits and can comprise a high concentration of water soluble actives.
POLYETHER PHOSPHATE ESTER COMPOUNDS, COMPOSITIONS AND USES
The present invention provides a compound which is a polyether phosphate ester and which does not comprise an alkylene oxide residue. The invention also provides a composition which comprises: i) a polyether phosphate ester; ii) a mono-alcohol phosphate ester; and iii) a polyether which comprises at least two terminal C6 to C36 hydrocarbyl groups. Further aspects of the invention include an emulsion, a personal care formulation, uses and methods comprising the compound or composition of the invention.
Emollient composition
An emollient composition comprising at least one hydrocarbon fluid in an amount of 50 to 100% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition is provided. The fluid can be obtained by a process of catalytically hydrogenating a feed comprising more than 85% by weight of oligomerized olefins, at a temperature from 115 to 195° C. and at a pressure from 30 to 70 bars. A cosmetic, dermatological or pharmaceutical composition comprising the emollient composition and uses thereof are also provided.
Multiple Emulsions, Method of Making Them and Applications in Food, Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals
The present invention relates to a multiple emulsion comprising or consisting of P1/O/W2, wherein P1 is an aqueous phase forming droplets or a gas phase forming bubbles, said droplets or bubbles being dispersed in O thereby forming P1/O, wherein O is an oily phase comprising crystals, wherein W2 is an aqueous phase comprising at least one hydrophilic surfactant, wherein P1/O globules are formed in W2, wherein said oily phase O comprises at least 90%, preferably at least 92%, and even preferably at least 95%, by mass of triglycerides with respect to the mass of the O phase. The present invention relates to a process for preparing such multiple emulsion and applications thereof. Food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions as well as a packaging containing a composition are claimed.
