COMPOSITIONS FOR IMPARTING COLOR AND TONE TO THE HAIR
The present disclosure relates to compositions for altering the tone or color of the hair, the compositions comprising at least one amino acid, at least one carboxylic acid, monoethanolamine, an oxidation base chosen from toluene-2,5-diamine, acid salts thereof, or solvates thereof, and a coupler system comprising one or more couplers chosen from 2,4-diaminophenoxyethanol, meta-aminophenol, and 4-amino-2-hydroxy toluene, derivatives thereof, addition salts thereof, solvates thereof, solvates of salts thereof, or mixtures thereof. The disclosure also relates to methods of using the compositions and kits comprising the compositions.
Cosmetic and Dermatological Compositions
Cosmetic and dermatological compositions, including color changing compositions, are provided which typically include a plurality of synthetic particles having a size in the micrometer or nanometer range. Each synthetic particle typically includes one or more aggregates of a pigment selected from phenoxazone, phenoxazine, and a derivate or precursor thereof, and a stabilizing material which has a refractive index larger than 1.45; the aggregates having a size larger than about 100 nm and the composition being biodegradable and biocompatible.
Methods and compounds for increasing virucidal efficacy in hydroalcoholic systems
A topical sanitizing composition for reducing the concentration of non-enveloped viruses on the skin is provided. The topical sanitizing composition includes one or more pH adjusters, at least one carbomer, and at least about 50 wt. % of one or more C.sub.1-8 alcohols. The sanitizing composition with pH adjuster and carbomer is able to achieve at least a 3.0 log reduction in the concentration of the non-enveloped virus and in some cases passes the EN 14476 standard.
Nail hardening composition and method of use
A composition and method for treatment of brittle, broken, cracked or otherwise damaged nail and hoof plates. The composition is an aqueous-organic medium containing a non-covalent complex of a diamine and an organic acid or an aqueous-organic medium with a diamine alone.
PROCESS FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF COMPOUNDS WHICH ABSORB ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION IN FLOW CONDITIONS AND FORMULATIONS COMPRISING SAME
The present invention generally relates to a chemical process under flow conditions for manufacturing compounds which absorb ultraviolet (UV) radiation and protect biological materials as well as non-biological materials from damaging exposure to UV radiation. The present invention further includes formulations and compositions comprising such compounds for use in absorbing UV radiation, as well as methods for protecting biological materials as well as non-biological materials from damaging exposure to UV radiation.

COSMETIC COMPOSITION CAPABLE OF SIMULTANEOUSLY COLORING HAIR AND RELAXING CURLS
A one step hair color and relaxer system comprising: an alkalizing agent in the range between about 0.1% to about 8%, based upon the total concentration of the hair color and relaxer system; a hair dye; and an oxidizing agent in the range between about 0.1% to about 6%, based upon the total concentration of the hair color and relaxer system; wherein the pH of the hair color and relaxer system is in the range between about 9 to about 14.
DYE COMPOSITION COMPRISING A PARA-PHENYLENEDIAMINE OXIDATION BASE AND A HETEROCYCLIC OXIDATION BASE
The present invention relates to a composition for dyeing keratin fibres, in particular keratin fibres such as the hair, comprising: a) at least one oxidation base 3-(2,5-diaminophenyl)-1-propanol acid salts thereof or solvates thereof such as hydrates; b) at least one heterocyclic oxidation base; c) at least one coupler; d) optionally at least one fatty substance; e) optionally at least one basifying agent; and f) optionally at least one chemical oxidizing agent. The invention also relates to a process for dyeing keratin fibres such as the hair using the composition of the invention, and to a multi-compartment device for using the composition of the invention.
DYE COMPOSITION COMPRISING A PARA-PHENYLENEDIAMINE OXIDATION BASE AND AN AMPHOTERIC OR CATIONIC POLYMER IN A MEDIUM RICH IN FATTY SUBSTANCES
The present invention relates to a composition for dyeing keratin fibres, in particular keratin fibres such as the hair, comprising: a) at least one oxidation base 3-(2,5-diaminophenyl)-1-propanol and/or acid salts thereof and/or solvates thereof such as hydrates; b) at least one coupler; c) at least one polymer chosen from cationic polymers and amphoteric polymers, and mixtures thereof; d) at least one fatty substance; the total amount of fatty substances being at least 10%, e) optionally at least one basifying agent; and f) optionally at least one chemical oxidizing agent.
