A thickened aqueous composition containing about 0.01% to about 10%, by weight, of an superabsorbent polymer, about 0.1% to about 20%, of a silicone elastomer; about 0.1% to about 20%, by weight, of a fatty alcohol; and from about 20% to about 98% of water.

The instant disclosure relates to hair treatment compositions that include a unique combination of components that function to impart desirable cosmetic properties to the hair. The hair treatment compositions typically include a cationic cellulosic quaternary ammonium compound; pectin; a cationic surfactant including cationizable surfactants together with an acid neutralizer; glyceryl ester; fatty alcohol; polyol; and water; wherein the weight ratio of the cationic cellulosic quaternary ammonium compound to pectin is from about 0.5 to about 5.

The subject of the present invention is the use of a combination of cellulose 2-[2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propoxy]ethyl ether chloride and at least one amino acid, selected from arginine, lysine, histidine or at least one of the salts of these amino acids, in a bleaching powder in order to reduce the damage to keratin fibres caused by an oxidative bleaching treatment.

This disclosure provides an encapsulated cleansing composition that is free of talc and that includes a core particle including (1) tapioca starch, (2) potato starch, (3) at least one anionic surfactant, and (4) at least one amphoteric surfactant. A three-part method of cleaning a user's teeth and/or gums is disclosed. First, a user applies a tonic of essential oils to the user's teeth and/or gums by either brushing, rubbing, rinsing and/or flossing with the tonic thereby destroying harmful bacteria. Second, the user brushes with a toothpaste having nano-hydroxyapatite being particles of 50 nanometers or smaller. The nano-hydroxyapatite is absorbed into the surface opening inside dentinal tubules of the teeth. Third, the user seeds their mouth with an oral probiotic having beneficial bacteria. The third step must come after both the first and second steps.

Topical delivery systems are described. The topical delivery systems include at least one skin care active and nanocellulose in a cosmetic composition. It has been surprisingly found that the presence of nanocellulose in a cosmetic composition enhances or regulates the penetration of skin care actives. The present application further describes a cosmetic composition comprising a skin care active and nanocellulose and use thereof.

The present specification discloses compositions comprising one or more encapsulates comprising one or more agents and methods and uses for the disclosed agents. A composition disclosed herein can be incorporated into a body wash, an after shower body lotion, a shampoo, a conditioner, a soap, a gel, a hand sanitizer, a cream, a spray, a mouse, a lotion, an ointment, a make-up product, a lip balm, a hair spray product, an arachnid/insect repellent or a medicinal product.

The presently disclosed subject matter relates to a system for customizing a cosmetic product. The system includes: an interface device, in electronic communication with a single batch formulation device. The single batch formulation device is configured to formulate a customized cosmetic product, and a threaded container configured to be imported into the single batch formulation device containing a base and exported from the single batch formulation device containing the customized cosmetic.

The present invention provides formulations comprising a suspension of nanocellulose (NC) elements and a drying/dispersal additive selected from the group consisting of temperature-responsive polymers, small molecule additives in volatile systems, and blocking agents and methods of preparing such formulations, and further provides NC-containing materials, composite materials and useful articles of manufacture made therefrom.
