The composition according to the present invention is stable, and can have a variety of cosmetic functions. The stickiness of the composition according to the present invention can be reduced.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR TREATING HOT FLASHES
The present disclosure relates to compositions comprising an aqueous solution of at least about 70% by weight water in combination with selected fatty acid salts and optionally an alcohol and/or a cooling sensate, as well as methods of using the same to treat symptoms of hot flashes. The fatty acid salts form fiber-like crystalline particles that together form a self-supporting mesh structure with voids, the aqueous solution being contained in the voids. When the composition is compressed above a critical stress, the mesh allows for the entrapped aqueous solution to be expressed.
SUNSCREEN COSMETIC
An objective of the invention is to provide a sunscreen cosmetic that increases the ultraviolet protection power of ultraviolet protectants, thereby achieving high ultraviolet protection power using only a small amount of ultraviolet protectants, while simultaneously providing an excellent texture and placing little strain on the skin. The sunscreen cosmetic according to the present invention contains the following components (A) to (C): (A) an ultraviolet protectant; (B) silica having a particle size of 0.3 to 1 .Math.m; and (C) a powder having a particle size of 1 to 30 .Math.m; wherein the (C) powder is of one or more types selected from the group consisting of silica, aluminum starch octenyl succinate, cellulose or derivatives thereof, waxes, mica, sericite and biodegradable resins.
STARCH FILM-FORMING COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF THEIR USE FOR PREPARING CAPSULE SHELLS
The present invention provides starch film-forming compositions and methods of their use for preparing capsule shells. The starch film-forming composition includes a gellan gum and at least one starch, wherein the total acyl content of the gellan gum ranges from 14 to 34%. The starch film-forming composition of the present invention has the advantages of desired film-forming strength and toughness, which can be applied in soft capsules to obtain soft capsules with a desired adhesive property upon formation and encapsulation property and which is free of animal-derived ingredients. The soft capsules thus are suitable for all ethnic populations in the world and can be applied globally.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION THAT RESISTS PILLING
A pilling-resistant cosmetic composition is in the form of an oil in water emulsion that includes a water phase and an oily phase, and includes at least one cosmetically acceptable polymeric thickener selected from the group consisting of crosspolymers, gums, taurate based polymers, carbomers, polyacrylates, and combinations thereof, at least one ethoxylated agent in liquid form at ambient temperature in a range from about 20° C. to about 28° C. and has an HLB from about 8.5 to about 16; and at least one oil. The pilling-resistant cosmetic composition resists pilling when applied by rubbing or smoothing on a keratinous substrate.
