ARTICLES FORMED OF PULP BASE MATERIALS WITH MODULATED SCENT RELEASE
Described are articles formed of a pulp base material comprising fibers, wherein pores are formed between the fibers. A volatile composition with at least one top note component and at least one base note component at least partially fills the pores of the pulp base material. A release rate of the at least one top note component is modulated by the pulp base material, and a release rate of the at least one base note component is enhanced by the pulp base material.
USER GESTURE DATA COLLECTION SYSTEM, MULTISENSORY EXPERIENCE SYSTEM AND CORRESPONDING METHODS
The user gesture data collection system (100), comprises: - a portable (105) fragrance delivery device, - a relative positioning tracker (110) configured to detect the positioning of the portable fragrance device relative a facial feature of a user and - a data storing means (115) storing data based on the relative positioning detected.
ODOR EMISSION SYSTEM, DEVICE AND METHOD
Embodiments of a controlled odor emission system and device include an odor presentation port tube and an odor tray securely retained against a platform, a valve housing securable to the platform adjacent the tray, a valve secured within the valve housing and an actuator for moving the valve. By controlling movement of the valve, precise amounts of an odor can be dispensed under programmatic control for training animals. Further, a system incorporating a central control unit and a reward dispenser in communication with an odor emission device to facilitate animal training.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RELEASING FLAVOR
A system for releasing flavor is disclosed. The system comprises: a plurality of compartments adapted to receive a respective plurality of capsules, each capsule containing therein a flavor material; a dispenser system configured for dispensing into an environment a fluid obtained from at least one flavor material; and a controller configured for receiving data pertaining to a selection of at least two of the compartments and for signaling the dispenser system to dispense fluids obtained from flavor materials contained in capsules of the selected compartments.
Bias Setting in a Scent Delivery System
A scent delivery system includes scent delivery units that are configured to deliver scent at a variable scent level by being turned on and off successively according to a variable duty cycle. The scent delivery system also includes a central controller configured to control the scent delivery units by generating command data based on a scenting schedule that indicates a desired activation time for more than one scent delivery unit. The scenting schedule is configured to further indicate a scent level bias to be applied to base scent settings that are associated with different scent delivery units. The central controller is configured to generate the command data, based upon a variation in the scent level bias, that takes into account a corresponding variation to duty cycles associated with different scent delivery units and to communicate the command data to the different scent delivery units.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR APPLICATION CONTROLLED FRAGRANCE GENERATION
A system and method for application controlled fragrance generation are disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: receiving a fragrance trigger from an application, the fragrance trigger being associated with a particular fragrance that corresponds to an event, action, image, sound, or gesture depicted in the application, determining a temperature needed to cause the particular fragrance to be emitted from a fragrance cartridge; and causing a thermal element to heat the fragrance cartridge to the determined temperature.
Head-mounted perfume dispenser apparatus
A head-mounted display includes a playback processor which plays back a moving image from first time until second time, a box for placing a container containing a perfume inside, a filled section which is temporarily filled with the perfume and emits the temporarily filled perfume according to starting playback of the moving image, and a tubular vent hole which is in contact with a nose of a user when the user wears the head-mounted display.
Data analysis, learning, and analytics generation
A scent dispenser may comprise a vial retaining mechanism, a heating element, vial sensor, and a controller. The vial retaining mechanism includes a vial coupling that removeably retains a vial containing a scented solution. The includes a wick extending from a cavity of the vial through an opening of a neck of the vial. The heating element is shaped to receive and heat the wick of the vial. The vial sensor includes an array of sensor pads that are arranged in alignment with the vial retained by the vial coupling. The controller is electrically coupled to the heating element and electrically coupled to the array of sensor pads. The controller regulates a temperature level of the heating element, and receives signals from the array of sensor pads and processing the signals to determine a fluid level of the vial.
Connected scent device
A scent dispersal device and a network for operating one or more scent dispersal devices are provided. The device can include electronics for operating a heater within the device to cause a scent cartridge within the device to disperse a scent into the surrounding environment. The device can include a top configured to turn the device on/off and control the type, strength and duration of a specific scent from a scent cartridge. The device can be equipped with sensors to identify the type of scent selected and the level of scent substance remaining in a scent cartridge. The device can be configured to interact with other scent devices via a local Wi-Fi network, where the tactile control of one device causes other devices to act in the same manner. The device or devices can further be controlled by and send information to a mobile device via a network.
Methods for emitting and refills for holding two or more compositions
A refill for holding at least two compositions comprises a container including a body and first and second compositions disposed within the body such that the first and second compositions are substantially separated and the second composition is disposed above the first composition. The refill further includes a tube disposed within the body of the container such that the tube contains the first and second compositions, wherein the tube has an inner diameter and an outer diameter. Still further, the refill includes a wick disposed within the tube, wherein the wick contains the first and second compositions and has a diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the tube to create a gap between the wick and the tube.
