Aspects of the present disclosure include a method of managing scent in an environment, which includes disposing at least one scent diffusion device within an environment, wherein the at least one scent diffusion device comprises a communications facility that enables transmitting signals to and receiving signals from a remote computer, receiving at least one target value of a scent parameter for the environment at the remote computer, and controlling, via the remote computer, diffusion of a liquid from a source of the liquid in fluid communication with the at least one scent diffusion device to achieve the target value of the scent parameter. Controlling a diffusion rate of the liquid includes altering at least one of a voltage and a duty cycle applied to at least one component of the diffusion device.

Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for implementing switchable dispensing and/or delivery of scented substances. In one aspect, a device includes a cartridge structured to include one or more chambers containing one or more scented substances contained in a corresponding chamber, a housing structured to include a compartment to hold the cartridge, an opening to allow the scented sub stances to dispense to an outer environment from the device, and one or more transporting channels formed between the compartment and the opening, in which each of the one or more transporting channels is configured to accelerate a scented substance from the corresponding chamber to the opening, and an actuator switch arranged in a corresponding transporting channel and operable to move between an open position and a closed position based on an applied signal to selectively allow passage of the scented substance from the corresponding transporting path.

Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for implementing switchable dispensing and/or delivery of scented substances. An ozone treatment device includes an ozone destruct module and an ozone generator mounted within a housing. The ozone destruct module and the ozone generator are mounted between corresponding air inlets and air outlets formed in the housing. The ozone treatment device also includes a controller mounted to the housing. The controller is configured to generate ozone with the ozone generator for a first time period and to automatically destruct ozone with the ozone destruct module for a second time period following the first time period. In certain implementations the treatment device includes an input device for receiving an operator input. In such cases the controller can determine the first and second time periods based on the operator input.
