Adjustable breast pump flange
An adjustable breast pumping flange is provided. The breast pumping flange allows for adjustment of the flange angle relative to a bottle to which the flange connects. This allows for a nursing mother to more comfortably position the flanges and bottles during a pumping session. This increased comfort in turn allows for improved and more efficient milk collection.
Breast Pump
A breast pump device and associated methods for extracting breast milk are disclosed. A pump head comprises an external shell with an elastic membrane disposed and bonded therein to define at least one hermetically sealed chamber. Manipulation of the elastic membrane, for example, by adjusting suction or pressure in the sealed chamber or within an interior volume defined by the elastic membrane permits radial mechanical compression (positive pressure) to be applied to a nipple positioned in the pump head to simulate compression of the nipple by the infant's tongue and simultaneously permits axial hydraulic or pneumatic suction (negative pressure) to be applied to the nipple to simulate the infant's minimum intra-oral vacuum. The breast pump device of the present invention can generate these simultaneous compressions and suctions with a single vacuum source, which may be an electric pump or a hand-operated mechanical pump.
HANDS-FREE MILK EXTRACTION AND COLLECTION DEVICE
A hands-free milk extraction and collection device including a combined milk extraction and collection container and a housing unit. The container includes an internal cavity having an extraction portion for receiving a nipple region of a woman's breast and having a collection portion for collecting milk extracted from the woman's breast. The extraction portion is configured to latch onto the nipple region of the woman's breast to aid in stimulating milk flow from the breast by creating suction pressure at the nipple region. The housing unit includes a retention device for retaining the container in the housing unit, wherein the housing unit and the enclosed container are collectively configured to fit inside a woman's bra for hands-free usage.
MILKING MACHINE
A breast pump includes a body including a hood attachment portion, a bottle attachment portion, and an inner passage extending between the hood attachment portion and the bottle attachment portion; a diaphragm configured to generate negative pressure in the inner passage; a handle manually operated to move back and forth; and a link mechanism configured to support the handle in a manner movable back and forth relative to the body. The handle is configured to change pressure of the inner passage from a normal state to a negative state by displacing the diaphragm in a lifting direction. The link mechanism is configured to apply an operation force to the handle that becomes maximal during handle movement when the handle is moved in an operation direction that changes the pressure from the normal state to the negative state.
PRESSURE BASED VOLUME SENSOR FOR LIQUID RECEPTACLE
Disclosed herein are various techniques and devices for detecting a level of fluid within a fluid collection receptacle. These techniques and devices may further determine a flow rate of fluid entering the fluid collection receptacle or a volume of fluid collected within the fluid collection receptacle. Sensors, including pressure sensors, may be installed in, on, or within the fluid collection receptacle to detect information about the liquid within the receptacle including fluid level, flow rate, and volume.
BREAST PUMP SYSTEM WITH CONTROLLER
Systems and methods for pumping milk from a breast, wherein the milk is expressed from the breast under suction and milk is expulsed from the pumping mechanism to a collection container under positive pressure. In one approach, the breast pump assembly includes a breast adapter and a receptacle configured to cup the breast adapter, and the breast adapter is removable from the receptacle.
BREAST PUMP SYSTEMS
Systems and methods for pumping milk from a breast responsive to a controller, wherein the milk is expressed from the breast under suction and milk is expulsed from the pumping mechanism to a collection container under positive pressure.
BREAST SHIELD
A method for operating a breastpump unit for expression of human breastmilk and various breast shields for use in this method allow a maximum pumping performance and a minimum pumping duration per pumping session. The breast shield has an inner chamber for receiving a nipple (W) of the breast and also at least one outer chamber which at least partially surrounds the nipple. The inner chamber is subjected to a constant pressure and the at least one outer chamber is subjected to a pulsating pressure.
Turner Breast Shield
The Turner Breast Shield is an apparatus for a resting position use by a nursing woman to capture expressed milk while using a breast pump comprising a breast receiving cone with a plurality of holes and a hole plug on the side of said cone for draining expressed milk away from the breast and into an attached tube for collection in a container. The apparatus is optionally configured with a one-way flow valve positioned in the cone above the nipple and below the holes to enable back-flow prevention of expressed milk. The apparatus is optionally configured with a one-way flow valve connected to any of the holes on the side to enable back-flow prevention of expressed milk.
