IMPROVED TOBACCO FLAVOURED DRY POWDER FORMULATION
20220395015 · 2022-12-15 ·

There is provided a tobacco flavoured dry powder formulation comprising a plurality of particles comprising a base material and a tobacco flavouring composition, wherein a first ratio by weight of (β-ionone+β-damascenone) to (phenol) in the tobacco flavoured dry powder formulation is greater than 0.25. Further, there is provided a method of producing one such tobacco flavoured powder formulation. The method comprises the steps of: preparing a tobacco starting material; heating the tobacco starting material at an extraction temperature of between 100 degrees Celsius and 160 degrees Celsius for at least 90 minutes; collecting the volatile compounds released from the tobacco starting material during the heating step; forming a liquid tobacco flavouring composition comprising the collected volatile compounds; combining a base material and the liquid tobacco flavouring composition to form tobacco flavoured particles.

Epinephrine spray formulations

The present invention is directed to epinephrine spray formulations. The present invention is further directed to methods of treating anaphylaxis by administering epinephrine spray formulations to subjects in need of such treatments.

PRESERVATIVE-FREE SINGLE DOSE INHALER SYSTEMS
20230051645 · 2023-02-16 ·

An aerosolization system includes a container that is configured to deliver a unit dosage of a liquid when squeezed a single time. The system also includes an aerosolizer that is constructed of a housing defining a mouthpiece, and an aerosol generator disposed in the housing. The aerosol generator includes a vibratable membrane having a front face and a rear face, and a vibratable element used to vibrate the membrane. Further, the housing includes an opening that is adapted to receive a unit dosage of the liquid from the container. The opening provides a liquid path to the rear face of the vibratable membrane.

AEROSOL GENERATOR WITH ELECTRICAL POWER CONDUCTING PINS

An aerosol generator with electrical power conducting pins has a vibratable plate with apertures therein and an annular piezo. An annular support member supports the piezo and the vibratable plate. A first electrical power conducting pin engages directly with a first, top, surface of the piezo. A second electrical power conducting pin indirectly conducts electrical power to a second surface of the piezo, by contacting an extension tab. There is a film of cured epoxy adhesive on the tab. The aerosol generator avoids need for soldered joints for electrical contact, and the pins are conveniently mounted parallel to each on the same lateral and top side of the piezo and support member. The pins may have multi-point tips for particularly effective electrical contact.

ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE

An electronic smoking article includes an outer tube extending in a longitudinal direction, an inner tube within the outer tube and including a pair of opposing slots, a liquid supply comprising a liquid material, a coil heater, a wick and a mouth end insert. The coil heater is located in the inner tube. The coil heater is formed of an iron-free, nickel-chromium alloy and has substantially uniformly spaced windings. The wick is surrounded by the coil heater such that the wick delivers liquid material to the coil heater and the coil heater heats the liquid material to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the liquid material and form an aerosol in the inner tube.

Pyrethroid spray formulations and methods of using the same

Sprayable compositions comprising a pyrethroid, a viscosity building agent, an emulsifier or surfactant, and an emollient are provided. The compositions have a viscosity that allows for delivery of the spray from a pressurized container such that the pyrethroid is administered in a consistent amount that uniformly covers the body of a subject. This obviates the need to rub the composition into the skin. In preferred embodiments, the pyrethroid is permethrin; the viscosity building agent is selected from the group consisting of carbomers, xanthan gum, or a combination thereof; the emulsifier or surfactant is selected from the group consisting of glyceryl mononstearate, PEG40 hydrogenated castor oil, cholesterol, steareth-10, steareth-20, and combinations thereof; and the emollient is selected from the group consisting of C12-C15 alkyl benzoates, diisopropyl adipate, silicon oil, mineral oil, or any combination thereof.

MULTISTAGE VAPORIZER FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT SYSTEM
20220347400 · 2022-11-03 ·

Multistage vaporizers, such as for use in medical treatment systems, as well as related methods are described. In one example, a multistage vaporizer includes a first reservoir configured to hold a liquid and one or more pumping transducers positioned in the first reservoir. The multistage vaporizer also includes a second reservoir and one or more vaporizing transducers positioned in the second reservoir. The one or more pumping transducers positioned in the first reservoir are configured to generate and move droplets of a liquid in the first reservoir to the second reservoir, and the one or more vaporizing transducers positioned in the second reservoir are configured to create a vapor of the liquid in the second reservoir.

INTRANASAL ADMINISTRATION OF ESKETAMINE

The present invention is directed to pharmaceutical products, and to methods for the treatment of depression (e.g., major depressive disorder) and other diseases or disorders for which esketamine has a therapeutic benefit. In some embodiments, the methods are useful for the treatment of treatment-refractory or treatment-resistant depression or suicidal ideation. Methods of intranasal administration and devices for intranasal administration are also disclosed.

PHOTODEFINED APERTURE PLATE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
