Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure Device
A bi-level positive airway pressure device includes a housing that has a patient port for connecting to an airway of a patient. There is a device (e.g., a nozzle) for generating a positive airway pressure that is directed through a conduit towards the patient port. An exhalation detector includes a nozzle emitting a jet of a gas directed across the conduit and directed at a receptor channel when exhalation gases flow from the patient port, thereby an increase a gas pressure is present at the receptor channel when the exhalation gases flow from the patient port. The exhalation detector converts the increase in the gas pressure into a movement of an occluding member such that when the exhalation gases flow from the patient port, the occluding member moves to block the means for generating the positive airway pressure.

The seal-forming structure comprises a support structure arranged to support a sealing portion that is adapted to sealing engage the patient's face in use. The seal-forming structure may also include a seal biasing portion configured to inflate under pressurization within the cavity in the cushion assembly in use to extend the reach of the sealing portion and decouple the sealing portion from external forces.

Described is an apparatus for oxygenation and/or CO2 clearance of a patient, comprising: a flow source or a connection for a flow source for providing a gas flow, a gas flow modulator, a controller to control the gas flow, wherein the controller is operable to: receive input relating to heart activity and/or trachea gas flow of the patient, and control the gas flow modulator to provide a varying gas flow with one or more oscillating components with a frequency or frequencies based on the heart activity and/or trachea flow of the patient.
DUAL-PRESSURE RESPIRATORY ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A respiratory delivery system providing a bi-level pressure airflow. The system includes respiratory and pneumatic circuits. The respiratory circuit includes a respiratory gas supply, a patient interface, and a bi-level pressure regulator. The respiratory gas supply supplies a respiratory gas to the patient interface via a first conduit. The bi-level pressure regulator is coupled to the patient interface via a second conduit and is configured to cyclically alternate the respiratory gas passing through the bi-level pressure regulator between a low-pressure level and a high-pressure level. The pneumatic circuit includes a pneumatic gas supply and a pneumatic cycler configured to output a cycling pressure level. The cycler is coupled to the bi-level pressure regulator via a third conduit. The bi-level pressure regulator cyclically alternates the pressure level of the respiratory gas between the low-pressure level and the high-pressure level with the timing defined by the cycling of the pneumatic gas.

COMBINATION CPAP AND RESUSCITATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A combination positive airway pressure (PAP) or continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and resuscitation system and related methods. The systems can be well-suited for use in providing CPAP therapy for a neonate or infant patient, with the ability to also provide resuscitation therapy at a peak inspiratory pressure (PIP) as needed or desired without switching to another system or switching the patient interface. The system can include an expiratory pressure device capable of regulating a positive end expiration pressure (PEEP) of the system, which preferably can also induce pressure oscillations relative to a mean PEEP.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR OXYGENATION AND/OR CO2 REMOVAL
An apparatus for oxygenation and/or CO2 clearance of a patient. The apparatus comprising: a flow source or a connection for a flow source for providing a gas flow, a gas flow modulator, a controller to control the gas flow. The controller is operable to: receive input relating to heart activity and/or trachea gas flow of the patient, and control the gas flow modulator to provide a varying gas flow with at least two oscillating components. One oscillating component has a frequency based on the heart activity and/or trachea flow of the patient. One oscillating component has a frequency to: promote bulk gas flow movement, or promote mixing.
DEVICE TO MONITOR AND ALARM MANUAL VENTILATION PARAMETERS DURING CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION
The disclosure is directed to an apparatus and a method for improving manual ventilation and resuscitation by monitoring ventilation parameters and assisting resuscitation. The apparatus includes a gas flow sensor configured to measure a flow rate of exhaled gas of a subject. The apparatus is configured to receive an ideal body weight or a predicated body weight of the subject and calculate a first tidal volume range based on the ideal body weight or the predicated body weight of the subject. The apparatus is also configured to obtain an exhaled tidal volume of the subject based on the measured flow rate and determine whether the exhaled tidal volume is within the first tidal volume range. When it is determined that the exhaled tidal volume is not within the first tidal volume range, the apparatus is further configured to perform a first tidal volume warning.
REPROCESSING OF CONTAMINATED REUSABLE DEVICES WITH DIRECT CONTACT OF PRESSURE WAVES
