An interactive one-piece pantsuit is provided for wear by an infant/toddler, when a medical device has been surgically implanted into the infant/toddler. For this purpose, the pantsuit acts as a protective garment which normally covers and protects extracorporeal components of the medical device. The garment, however, includes flaps which are positioned at key locations on the garment over the extracorporeal components of the medical device. These flaps can then be selectively raised to temporarily provide a caregiver with the necessary access to the medical device for operational or maintenance purposes.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR STABILIZING MEDICAL TUBING PROTRUDING FROM A PATIENT
20230035969 · 2023-02-02 ·

Devices, systems, and methods for stabilizing medical tubing protruding from a patient are disclosed herein. In various embodiments of the present disclosure, a medical tubing stabilization device is provided that may include a tube stabilization patch and a complementary medical garment. The tube stabilization patch may be applied to a patient who has medical tubing or a catheter protruding from their body to reduce or dampen movement on the body from the medical tubing in relation to the patient. The medical garment may be worn by the patient and placed in combination with the tube stabilization patch to further reduce the relative movement of the medical tubing. The present disclosure may be directed to reducing the level of medical tubing movement, both externally and internally, that a patient may experience, which decreases the risk of infection caused by catheterization of patients.

Subcutaneous fixing system for medical devices

The present disclosure relates to a subcutaneous fixation system for fixing medical devices, in particular catheters, and keeping them in position with respect to an access point on the skin of a patient.

Securing a medical tube in fluid communication with the interior of a patient is accomplished with an apparatus having a support portion with a mounting surface thereon, a cover portion for the mounting surface that releasably attaches to the mounting surface to define an inner chamber, and a plurality of fingers to define at least one access slit for a medical tube to pass through. The assembly also has a detachable fastener element for securing the medical tube in the assembly. The plurality of fingers releasably connect to one another to define at least one access slit with the medical tube extending through the access slit. The plurality of fingers can be disconnected from one another to open the access slit, thereby facilitating removal of the substrate from the patient without disturbing the fluid communication between the medical tube and interior of the patient.

A blood filtration system can reduce the amount of plasma constituents (e.g., water and/or electrolytes) in the blood of the patient, and accordingly increase the hematocrit value of the patient. The blood filtration system (e.g., a controller, or the like) can determine a hematocrit value of a patient. The blood filtration system can determine a venous pressure of vasculature of a patient. The blood filtration system can compensate for pressure head in a component of a blood circuit (e.g., a withdrawal line of a catheter), for example to improve the accuracy of the venous pressure determination. The blood filtration system can determine one or more resistance characteristics of a blood circuit for the blood filtration system. The resistance characteristics can correspond to a resistance to a flow of blood through a component of the blood circuit.

Antimicrobial light-emitting percutaneous site dressing

An antimicrobial light dressing device, system and method for a percutaneous treatment that bathes a treatment region around the percutaneous insertion with an antibacterial illumination source for preventing pathogens around the insertion from entering via the dermal puncture created by the insertion. The antimicrobial light dressing device combines a circumferential body centered around the insertion, and an arrangement of LEDs around the body that focus the light around the insertion and onto a therapeutic region of the insertion. An opening in the circumferential body has an articulated protrusion for offsetting a medicinal vessel such as an IV tube off the skin surface to avoid blocking light to an area under the vessel.
