11602346 · 2023-03-14 · ·

A surgical tool for use with a robotic system that includes a tool drive assembly that is operatively coupled to a control unit of the robotic system that is operable by inputs from an operator and is configured to robotically-generate output motions. A drive system is configured to interface with a corresponding portion of the tool drive assembly for receiving the robotically-generated output motions and applying the output motions to a drive shaft assembly which is configured to apply control motions to a surgical end effector operably coupled thereto. A manually-actuatable control system operably interfaces with the drive shaft assembly to facilitate the selective application of manually-generated control motions to the drive shaft assembly.

Coupling mechanism for medical devices

A releasable coupling mechanism for coupling a delivery catheter and a dilator. The delivery catheter comprising a delivery catheter hub at the proximal end and the dilator comprising a dilator hub at the proximal end. The proximal end of the delivery catheter hub comprises a coupling member for releasably receiving a raised portion which is positioned at a distal end of the dilator hub. The coupling member has a pair of engagement members positioned on opposing sides of the coupling member and configured to releasably engage the raised portion. The delivery catheter hub further comprising at least one indicia on the housing. The indicia indicate an orientation of the delivery catheter hub such that the dilator hub disengages from the coupling member by simultaneously deflecting the pair of engagement members.

A tamper-evident syringe tip cap is provided and includes an outer housing with an outer shell, and a tip cover secured to an upper end of the outer shell. An inner core has a female Luer lock fitting, a spindle projecting vertically from the fitting, and a sleeve matingly engaging the spindle and being constructed and arranged for releasably securing the outer housing to the inner core. The outer housing is movable relative to the inner core between a first, pre-activated position and a second, activated position.

STERILE CONNECTOR

A sterile connector includes a first section of tubing with a first end portion to be connected to a second end portion of a second section of tubing and/or another counterpart to establish fluid communication. An axial protrusion extends away from the first end portion of the first section of tubing in an axial direction, and a separation layer closes off an inside of the section of tubing. The separation layer has a predetermined breaking site, and the axial protrusion is connected pivotally to the first end portion of the first section of tubing to pivot from a first position to a second position when engaged with a second axial protrusion and/or with the other counterpart and is coupled to the separation layer to exert a breaking force on the separation layer in the second position.

FLUID ACCESS DEVICES AND METHODS

Fluid access devices include a machine-side hydraulic circuit and a patient-side hydraulic circuit, and are configurable between a connected state and at least one disconnected state. In the connected state, fluid flows between the machine-side hydraulic circuit and the patient-side hydraulic circuit. In the disconnected state, fluid does not flow between the machine-side hydraulic circuit and the patient-side hydraulic circuit. In some disconnected states, fluid recirculates through at least one of the machine-side hydraulic circuit or the patient-side hydraulic circuit in the disconnected state.

Medical connector

Some embodiments comprise a connector including a rigid housing having a first end and a second end. A second member can be positioned at a second end portion of the housing and be engageable with a second device. The second member can have a body portion having a first body portion, a second body portion, and a flow lumen extending axially through the body portion, an annular covering portion extending in a radial direction away from the body portion, a receiving portion extending away from the covering portion in an axial direction, and at least one protrusion extending radially away from an outside surface of the body portion. In some embodiments, the second member can be supported by the housing such that, in an assembled state, the first body portion is positioned within the housing and such that the annular covering portion and the second body portion are positioned outside the housing.

Coupling for medical fluids

A coupling apparatus includes a first component having a first non-mechanical valve, a second component having a second non-mechanical valve, and a third component having a first end for coupling with the first valve and a second end for coupling with the second valve. The third component has an elongated bore such that when the first end is coupled to the first valve and the second end is coupled to the second valve, a passageway is defined therethrough. The coupling apparatus includes a breakaway portion disposed between the third component and the second component and the first and second valves automatically close when the second and third components are separated from one another.

Male reflux valve

A male reflux valve comprising a distal body portion and a proximal body portion, the proximal body portion having a male connection for connection to a female connection of an access device, a valve element operatively positioned within the distal body portion, a core operatively positioned within the distal body portion to retain the valve element into sealing engagement with the distal body portion and an actuator reciprocably retained within a generally circular cylindrical longitudinal bore of the proximal body portion in engagement with the valve element to open the valve element when engaged by the female connection of the access device.

SURGICAL INSTRUMENT SYSTEM INCLUDING REPLACEABLE END EFFECTORS
20170319207 · 2017-11-09 ·

A surgical instrument system that includes a housing and a rotatable drive shaft, a motor operably coupled to the drive shaft, and a plurality of replaceable end effectors that can be connected to the housing. Each replaceable end effector includes a drive screw that is turned a fixed number of revolutions by the motor-driven rotatable drive shaft when the end effector is connected to the housing. Each end effector further comprises a firing member operably coupled with the drive screw of the end effector. The drive screw is configured to displace the firing member over a firing length as a result of the fixed number of revolutions. In certain embodiments, each replaceable end effector can include a drive screw with a thread pitch set to the firing length divided by the fixed number of revolutions.

ANTI-FREE-FLOW VALVE
20220040405 · 2022-02-10 ·

Apparatus for delivering a fluid to a subject through infusion tubing (22) includes a tube cassette (20) for receiving the infusion tubing. The tube cassette has an anti-free-flow valve (26) configured to (i) occlude the infusion tubing, and (ii) be actuated by a force external to the tube cassette to terminate the occlusion of the infusion tubing.
