The present invention relates to an apparatus for providing respiratory assistance to a user via a user conduit. The apparatus being operable in a humidifying mode and a non-humidifying mode, and includes a humidification chamber for containing an amount of water that can be located in an operating position in the humidifying mode and, optionally separate from the apparatus in the non-humidifying mode. The apparatus may also have an auxiliary flow path that can be activated in the non-humidifying mode and a powered device that heats water in the humidification chamber when the apparatus is in the humidifying mode.
HALOTHERAPY MODULE ASSOCIATED WITH SAUNAS
Systems include a receiving port configured to receive a cartridge configured to store a material capable of being aerosolized, a sensor configured to generate one or more measurements based on ambient conditions of a housing, an aerosolizer configured to aerosolize the material in response to receiving a signal, and a controller comprising one or more processors configured to generate the signal provided to the aerosolizer, and further configured to control operation of the aerosolizer via the signal.
Vaporizer power system
A system includes a converter configured to electrically couple to a power source and to a heating element of a vaporizer atomizer. The converter can be further configured to receive a first voltage from the power source and provide a second voltage to the heating element. The converter can be a direct-current to direct-current converter. A power monitor configured to electrically couple to the heating element, measure a current through the heating element, measure a voltage over the heating element, calculate a power and/or resistance, and output a control signal to the converter. The converter can be configured to be controlled by the control signal to vary the second voltage to maintain a target power or a target temperature over the heating element. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
DEVICES METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR WIRELESS CONTROL OF MEDICAL DEVICES
A medical device system. The system includes a first medical device, a first remote interface, and a second remote interface in communication with the first remote interface and the first medical device, wherein the first medical device sends a command to the first medical device through the second remote interface, and wherein when the second remote interface receives the command, the command must be confirmed by the second remote interface before the command is send by the second remote interface to the first medical device.
Heating Assembly For A Vapour Generating Device
A heating assembly for a vapour generating device includes a heating device arranged to heat, in use, a body, the body including a vaporisable substance located in use in a heating compartment of the heating assembly, the heating assembly being arranged to supply, in use, power to the heating device to heat the body; a temperature sensor arranged to monitor, in use, a temperature related to heat generated from the body, temperature information related to heat generated from the body being determinable from the monitored temperature; and a memory accessor arranged to access, in use, a memory that holds a relationship between the temperature information, the amount of power supplied to the heating device or the profile of power supplied to the heating device, and at least one condition including an age of the body, or a type of the body, or the presence of the body.
AUTO INJECTOR WITH RECONSTITUTION HANDLING SUPPORT
Disclosed herein is an auto injector for administering a medicament, the auto injector comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver configured to receive a cartridge comprising a first stopper and a cartridge compartment containing the medicament, the cartridge compartment having a first cartridge subcompartment containing a first medicament component of the medicament and a second cartridge subcompartment containing a second medicament component of the medicament; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod between a retracted plunger rod position and an extended plunger rod position, the plunger rod being configured to move the first stopper; a processing unit coupled to the drive module, wherein the processing unit is configured to control the drive module to move the plunger rod from a first plunger rod position to a mix plunger rod position with a mix plunger rod speed, wherein the mix plunger rod position is selected to position the first stopper in a position wherein the first medicament component is mixed with the second medicament component, and to provide an onset signal after a number of completed inversions of the auto injector has been performed.
Multi-stage blood warming system that enables field delivery of heated blood
A multi-stage system for warming blood that enables safe and rapid blood transfusions in the field. The first stage of the system is a rapid blood warming device that heats blood quickly from cold storage to body temperature. This stage may use a high-energy power source, such as AC power, that is available in a facility such as a hospital. The second stage is a portable heated blood transport device into which heated blood bags are placed for transportation to a patient. This device keeps the blood bags warm using battery power. Because blood bags are pre-heated with the rapid warming device, the transport device can be lightweight and portable. An optional third stage is a transfusion temperature regulating device that boosts the final temperature of blood just before it enters the patient. All three devices may have sensors and controllers that maintain blood temperature within desired ranges.
ULTRASONIC ELECTRONIC RHINITIS THERAPEUTIC APPARATUS WITH FAR-INFRARED ATOMIZED COCONUT ESSENTIAL OIL
An ultrasonic electronic rhinitis therapeutic apparatus with far-infrared atomized coconut essential oil is disclosed. The apparatus includes a nasal plug part and a nasal alar part. The nasal plug part includes an insertion column disposed in a nostril. The insertion column is internally provided with a coconut powder, and a far-infrared generating tube is arranged in the coconut powder. An ultrasonic generator is arranged in the nasal alar part, and the nasal alar part is fitted on the lateral side of the nasal alar. In the disclosure, the oil and acid substance in the coconut powder are atomized by far-infrared light and are atomized under the aid of pulse ultrasonic wave in the nasal cavity to be inhaled into the internal tissues of the nasal cavity, sinus and the like.
Induction heating circuit for medical sharps removal device
Induction heating from an induction coil (108) is used to separate a metal medical sharp (144) from its holder (142) by applying a high-frequency oscillating magnetic field that excites eddy currents and resistance heating in the sharp. The heated metal sharp melts the adhesive or plastic securing the sharp to its holder. The use of induction heating is advantageous in that it does not require direct contact between the electrical circuit and the sharp or its holder. The heating can also act to sterilize the sharp and thereby render it less hazardous at the same time that it separates the sharp from its holder. The induction coil can have a stepped or conical shape to concentrate the RF energy at the interface between the metal sharp and its holder.
