Device for supplying a composition to a pressurized deposition system
A device for dispensing a fluid topical composition includes a reservoir storing the composition and dispensing a pressurized flow of the composition. The device also includes an accumulator having an expandable chamber in fluidly communication with the reservoir. The chamber is biased towards a deflated configuration so that, when filled with the composition the chamber expands against this bias applying pressure to the composition stored therein. The device includes a supply valve regulating the flow of the composition from the reservoir to the accumulator, and a pressure sensor. The device further includes a processing arrangement analyzing data from the sensor to determine whether pressure in the accumulator is above a predetermined threshold and controlling the supply valve to maintain the pressure within a desired pressure range. The device also includes a deposition arrangement dispensing the composition from the accumulator under control of the processing arrangement.
Apparatus and method for producing an enriched medical suspension
A medical fluid suspension generating apparatus for performing medical procedures includes a Venturi-agitating tip assembly composed of a multi-channel arrangement at a proximal first end thereof and a tip at a distal second end thereof. The apparatus also includes a compressed medical fluid unit fluidly connected to the multi-channel arrangement at a proximal first end of the Venturi-agitating tip assembly and a medical solution fluidly connected to the multi-channel arrangement at a proximal first end of the Venturi-agitating tip assembly. Pressurized sclerosant or other chemical medical solution, from the compressed medical fluid unit, and the medical solution of sclerosant or other chemical medical solution are combined within the Venturi-agitating tip assembly in a manner generating an enriched medical suspension that is ultimately dispensed from the suspension delivery apparatus to spray or wash the inner wall of a lumen.
ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF A WOUND DRESSING
Wound dressing assembly including (i) blood-clotting mold device having an enclosure defined between walls of a main body and a removable closure over an opening and configured for introduction of blood thereinto, and (ii) coagulation initiator in amount sufficient to coagulate blood introduced into the enclosure to form a blood clot. The formed blood clot is transferable onto a wound. Method for preparing a wound dressing by introducing a volume of blood into the enclosure of the blood-clotting mold device, maintaining the blood within the enclosure for time sufficient to permit clotting of the blood to obtain a blood clot; removing the closure to open the enclosure; and extracting the blood clot from the enclosure. The formed blood clot may be used in a method for dressing a wound by fixation of the clot onto the wound.
